How to Download Movies From Youtube and Facebook FREE for Your Own Safe Keeping
Tired of seeing something on Youtube and then 3 days later it's gone? Well NO MORE!!
It's actually a lot easier than you may have thought. I learned this since I lived in China and there is just too much good stuff on youtube and fb to not share with my friends and students here in China. Without a doubt it has made my life a whole lot more successful and interesting.
Easy Simple Steps
➊ Go to http://www.freemake.com/free_video_downloader/ and download the free app.
They have other quality software you might want to check out. Like the video converter will make those pesky videos you made on your phone that for some reason show up sideways; with just a few clicks it's back the right way up!
➋ After you install it, having followed the steps upon opening the original file, go to the youtube or fb page the video you want is on. Copy the link.
➌ Simply click where it says "Paste URL"
The link will just appear and start loading the next step.
➍ Here you will be presented with a few options. From quality to format. All qualities and formats supported, unless you're using some obscure lesser known type no one can use anyways. Once you have selected your option you will see this window. If needed, convert to the file type you selected.
Depending on your internet speeds and CPU plus the size of the video your are downloading it will take 1 minute to an hour or more. Music vids and other videos less then a few minutes will be complete in a just a few minutes but if you're trying to get over a gig of data it will take more time.
The file will automatically be saved using the same name as the title of the video. Check your download or video folder. Or click on the "show in folder" link from the app.
➎ And away you go. That's it my friends. That video is now in your control.

It works every time with Youtube but with FB it's hit and miss. Not sure if it's a password thing or something on my end or their end or in between. It works with some other sites as well but this is mostly for YT and FB vids.

freemake has great software for "shlubs" like me. BUT what do you mean they shut a function.
I have been using Freemake for years now. The first thing I would suggest is to do a custom installation. This way you can say no to all the malware stuff. Nothings free, there's always a price.
As for the facebook. The facebook videos give you an option to watch the video on youtube. From there you can get the down load link. And one last tip. If your have problems, look for a new update from freemake. You might have to wait for an update sometimes. But its free, so you can't complain.

Thanks man. I should have mentioned the custom install. Thanks for pointing that out. And I on FB i look for the youtube link but rarely does it come with it now, at least the vids I'm seeings. Some video on fb I can't find on yt without a long search and often never find it.
Freemake is good stuff for not having to pay money.
