How To Make a Weaved Book Mark

Weaved Bookmarks is easy! It's a fun artwork for kids and adults.This is one of the best DIY for book lovers who wants to have a personalised bookmark. The good thing about making your personalised item is - you can play with any colors you want, adding and embellishing it the way you like.

Materials To Use

• acrylic yarn (any color you like)
• needle (plastic)
• cardboard (sturdy)
• ruler
• scissor
• pen

Methods

• Measure and draw a line about one inch at the edge of the cardboard on both opposite sides. (This will serve as your guide point.)

• Draw a vertical lines measuring 1/4 inch on both opposite sides and Make a slit.

(I made only 8 vertical lines for a bookmark)

• Wedge the yarn on the first slit. Leave a two inches allowance

• Wedge across on the first slit, then wedge to the neighbor slit, then back to the opposite side.

• Once you finished wedging, Begin warping by going under and over the lines.

Use a ruler or fork to gently push the thread to stay in shape

If you like to change the color of the thread, make sure to leave few inches of line for allowance

If you are running out of thread, you can start another one by leaving few inches from the previous thread and continue warping again.

• Once finished, secure your thread thru back stitched.

• Removed from the loom and tie a knot on the hanging threads.

It's a fun artwork you can do with kids, This can also be a nice personalised gift.
