Dare to learn with me! Step by step tutorial, Soutache earrings handmade with my personal touch

in #diy5 years ago

Hello, it is an honor to write for you, today I will show you an original and elegant piece, I will try as far as possible to explain it in a simple and detailed way so that it is practical and easy to manufacture , for those who know me know that this is more than a job is my passion, I do it with love and patience with the desire to inspire them and thus ignite their creative flame to create their own pieces ...

The Soutache technique has existed for a long time, especially in the world of fashion. From military uniforms to high-fashion creations, the soutache creates a beautiful texture, The Soutache is a thread, a flat braid with a groove in the center, made of two rows of strings wrapped in rayon. It is added to the designs stacked in layers: the edges of the braid are visible in the design and often I personally sew them using liquid silicone, and it depends on the model I use needle.

The collage is done with an excellent page called Befunkyse I recommend it is easy and practical to use, the Watermark and the number are placed with fotoefectos. I wish you like it, I love what I do, I share it with a lot of love ...

If you have any concerns do not hesitate to write me, I'll be happy to help you.

Materials:

Soutache yarn or rayon braid of the color of your choice
Lighter
Fabric or Coarse Leather
Flat tendril base
Strass 6 mm, 12 stones
4 Apply flat drop type
Scissors
Liquid silicone
Encourage base use when working.
Eyebrow tweezers
4 stones or crystals

Love, encouragement and patience ... Step by step we will learn !!!

STEP 1: Cut a piece of leather or thick fabric approximately 12 cm high by 10 cm wide, in the lower part we will place liquid silicon about 2 cm high and paste the apply plane in the shape of drop, cut 3 threads of 12 cm each, spread liquid silicone around apply already pasted and paste the threads little by little can help you with a clip so as not to dirty the threads, in the upper part of the drop liquid silicon on both sides, with the help of the clip we are going to stick 3 stones of split canutillo, or beads on each side, whichever is to your liking.

STEP 2: When you finish gluing the split comb or mostacilla, put back the liquid silicon and fold the threads down, you can detail it in the second image about the recently attached threads approximately 0.3 mm away from the stones we will stick the 6 mm strass, the remaining thread will rotate it so that it covers the strass stone that you just hit, mark it, cut and burn the tips then we proceed to spread liquid silicon around it and stick it with the help of the clamp we introduce the tips below the stone previously stuck should be seen as it is in the last image.

STEP 3: At this stage we must repeat the previous step on the other side of our tendril, at the end we will return to place liquid silicone next to the newly attached strands and with the help of the clip we will place 6 canutillos split or are mostacillas place 12, little by little with the help of the clamp avoiding that you see them the central hollow of the stones, cut 3 threads of approximately 12 cm each one to burn the tips and with the help of the clamp introduce the threads under the rhinestones above the newly glued stones as I show you in the eighth image paste them little by little taking care not to fill them with silicon.

STEP 4: After having stuck the 3 threads in the previous step the remaining thread is placed sideways, we stick a 6 mm strass again, the remaining thread is rotated in a way that covers the strass stone that you just pasted, mark it, cut and burn the tips then proceed to smear liquid silicon around it and stick it with the help of the pliers we introduce the tips below the stone before glued, repeat the process of the other side with care not to mess with the top of our tendril so you have a better finish.

STEP 5: We are already in the middle of the process, in this part we will cut 3 threads of approximately 12 cm long and we will paste it below the second strass as I show you in the second image , this has previously greased liquid silicon, we will take it to the top and put back a 6 mm strass the remaining thread to rotate it so that it covers the strass stone that you just hit, mark it, cut and burn the ends then we proceed to smear silicon liquid around and we stick it with the help of the clamp, we introduce the tips below the stone previously stuck, repeat the process on the other side with care it will look like the last image.

STEP 6: In this stage we will verify what is the exact medium and 1.5 cm high we will place the flat base of tendril, place liquid silicone up and down the base and on it we will place a Apply plane in the form of drop, cut 3 threads of approximately 12 or 13 cm long each, spread liquid silicone around the appliqué and proceed to paste the threads to bend them forming a mini circle verifies that when forming it reaches the tip of the tendril, mark, cut and burn the tips place liquid silicon, stick the threads and with the help of the clip introduce the tips below the threads already glued for a better finish, it must be staying as the last image, remember if you have questions write me I will be careful to help you :)

STEP 7: We are finishing, in the mini circles we made in the previous step, placing a stone of the right size to cover the space, when our piece is still wet, bending it in half cut a little the center, as you see in the sequence of images, introduce the scissors and cut the remaining leather or cloth from the inside of the piece taking care not to damage or tear the threads, when finishing doing the same for the little outside a little. At the end of cutting pass the flame of the lighter through the whole piece to seal the threads and thus we finished. Perform all the steps once more for the pair of tendrils.

These are very pretty, @marleyn :D I love the design and how you included the step by step process in the post <3 How big are they, once they are all completed? Maybe include a comparison picture against your hand or against a coin, so that we can really understand their sizes.... even better, if we can see them worn as earrings ! :D

The colours that you chose to work with here are very pretty. I love neutral colours and the bronze and white here are so elegant * ___ * Wonderful !

It is an excellent recommendation I will do it, these tendrils measure 8 cm high by 7 cm wide, I'm glad you like it I hope you try it :)
