Today’s lesson has to do with two words that are often mistaken for one another, yet one of the words is a trait that must be established for personal well being and financial success.
Sympathy is kind of useless so we won’t/shouldn’t focus on it. .
However. . . Empathy is where it’s at!
If you can learn to be an empathetic individual in all your doings in life then you have unlocked a key to having the world at your fingertips.
The ability to put yourself in another person’s shoes is a selfless act that is rewarded by the universe. Your being gives off an openness to everyone you encounter and you come across as a “likable” person.
It also comes with a “catch” as it provides you the ability to know how to manipulate others because of your ability to be at one with their situation/emotions. (Please do not abuse this strength as it will back-fire in the long run).
Some people are naturally empathetic and others need to work at it. Typically the larger the Ego the less empathetic an individual tends to be. .
I guess I could write a few thousand words on this subject, however I find it more useful to hear other people’s point of view. 😀

For me it created countless arguments with my family and close friends :D especially, my Mom. She does not appreciate when we talk about my sister's divorce and i point out, that her husband was not the only one to blame and that my sister was a cunt way more than once. Or that her grandchildren has their own opinions and their parents and grandparents not necessary know best... Shit, maybe i just like to argue :D

Empathy, as you've just described, "...is a selfless act that is rewarded by the universe..." I agree with you. Besides, people who feel empathy can hardly hurt others and enjoy a better mental health. --Thank you for this piece of good reasoning.
