This is a nice concept but they ain't going to be enough space for kids to play around and still thinking how the toilet system will be like

These practical and intelligent housing concepts, would be very welcome in my country where there is a large number of people waiting for the state to assign them a house ... If they get to see this post, I am sure that tomorrow you will go to a port in the country to Try to take a container to develop your home ... OMG, if the government sees it, it will take it as part of the offer it will make in its electoral campaign. lol
dunno how it is where you are..but most places I've been there are a LOT of used shipping containers for sale...some are rilly cheap...some for free (just haul them away)

If a bunch of you were to pool your money.
buy an old ship, rebuild it so that it could hold quite a few shipping container which were themselves rebuilt to be tiny homes...
Extensive use of 'renewable' energy (sail, wind, solar)
Onboard garden, water distillation, etc.
Make it as self sufficient as you can.
(Satellite internet is a must)
Then move onboard and live on it.
When the government got too aggravating..

Yes, most things are possible; although I would put in those containers, aboard that ship, to all the current politicians and send them to sail away but without Satellite Internet.lol

Imagine the shipping containers on the barge deck around the edges. The center of the barge could remain open for a 'common space'...an atrium if you will.
You're right, the barges would be perfect, more open space ... life to the natural ... Certainly, I'm imagining it and It would not look bad ... suddenly it reminded me of the Banana Slug with drones in a fishing day. Yes, the idea is taking shape...

Good .. let me post a few comments. Concept has made a tremendous impact for future building development. At least there has been a new mindset to develop the concept of building and utilization of materials, land sparingly. I also as a teacher tried to apply the concept of saving materials with the utilization of natural composites to be developed.
ideas and breakthroughs are very good, considering the global world needs space and a fairly efficient place. meaning that land use must be right, not wasteful. these two concepts allow for centralized activity, road savings, and other things.
let's support the new idea for the development of the region for a better future. Thank you

I know I'd love to have cheap and affordable housing. As it stands now, having a 240 sq ft apartment without a real kitchen to speak of (mini fridge, microwave, hot plate) costing upwards to $500 a month is freaking insane.
so what's stopping you?

I was referring to old living arrangements in Phoenix, AZ. Here in Alabama I've a big ass house out in the middle of the sticks for cheap. Only $200 more per month than that tiny as hell apartment.
