your last quote is pretty similar to this (not sure if this quote can be attributed to the person I mention in the article):
"the surest way to improve the quality of your life is to subject yourself to self-imposed discipline"
this perspective definitely stands out to me--i can't think of many happy experiences with self-discipline.
I am not saying that living life with comlete discipline is the only to have quality in your life. but there are certain things that needed to be disciplined in order to create a balance.
O i know, i was just referring to the last quote in the post specifically. just weird for me because i've always had a negative association with self-discipline.
