A big decision I have to make. Help me please :)
I am 52 virtually housebound with a bad knee and other problems. At the minute I get around with a walking stick and leg race but its getting harder and more painful each. There has been something at the back of my mind that could open my life up give me more freedom, get me out without depending on anyone else BUT the idea scares me. I can either stay as I am locked away from the world or go out and buy a
I don't know what I am scared of, maybe accepting I am Old and disabled, Maybe I think I will look stupid... What would you do?

I'd buy the mobility scooter even if I wasn't going to use it, just to deck it out. I'd buy a matching wig and get a little yappy dog to ride with me, as in your gif. But a mean one. Because people need to keep their distance, yo. :P
But seriously, I've been describing myself as a recluse lately and it's a problem. It's not that I don't like people; I just love solitude. In a way, using Steemit is dragging me kicking and screaming out of totally blissed out, society-less, Netflixing, facebook voyeurism. Validating with a photo took me weeks to get up the courage to do. But coming out feels good. I recommend it. :)

GURL - get the mobility scooter and get outside! Decorate the damned thing and make yourself get noticed. Who knows? People may stop and pose with you. You might make some new friends. Make every day like Mardi Gras. Yes, I'll take some beads...no, I'm not flashing any boob for you. ;)

I agree, go for it!! I have an autoimmune disease and sometimes have to reframe what I'm going to do (camping in really cold weather, for example, is out for me). However, I try to do everything I can not to let it stop me. Go for it!!
