The Only Two Foods to Eat to Look Great, be Healthy and Strong!
Chicken and Broccoli
That's one of the coolest lines said by Jason Stratham's character in the movie Cranked 2. He was talking to an out of shape, overweight crime boss about their differences in diet choices.. Jason Stratham chose to eat chicken and broccoli, thus he was in great fighting shape, and the crime boss who was fat and out of shape obviously chose to eat NOT chicken and broccoli.
The two brothers who were the main stars in the movie warrior also said that they ate lots of chicken and broccoli when asked how they got into such great shape for their roles as fighters. Hugh Jackman also said that he ate tons of chicken when he was molding his body into Wolverine shape.
I'm not suggesting that we all need or want to look like fighting male movie stars here, but if we all learned something from their diets, it would be all good..
only two things to remember..
Chicken
Broccoli
I know that's definitely an over simplified diet and, although it would definitely work for 3-6 months if one needed to get ready for a movie role, or a photo shoot, a high school reunion, or even just to look good at the beach.. I wouldn't call it the most balanced of diets.(you could just stick to chicken and broccoli, however, and take supplements such as extra fiber, fish oil, etc)
So to break it down to a more balanced diet..
Chicken is a protein source, there are many to choose from, but here is a short list of recommended ones:
Fish
Turkey
Beef
Pork
Seafood
Cottage Cheese
Whey protein powder
eggs
*a mix of these would offer a good dose of protein. Eat a portion (the size of your fist) at each meal.
Broccoli is a carbohydrate, but incredibly nutrient dense meaning it does your body good, no empty calories here, and I never heard of someone getting fat or into health trouble from eating too much broccoli. Some good alternatives you could eat would be:
califlower (the white broccoli)
cabbage
lettuce
spinach
kale
chard
bok choy
sprouts
carrots
asparagus
green beans
peas
and pretty much any other vegetable I forgot to list here. Again, if in doubt, broccoli always works. I would say also try and eat a portion (size of your fist) or maybe two portions if one just doesn't fill you up.
I am not saying to quit all the other foods you like to eat. Just try to eat more healthy like this.. maybe 1 meal a day at first. Then after a week of that, try 2 meals a day. Then soon you will do 3 meals, then 4, then 5, spaced 2 1/2 - 3 hours apart. I only eat 3 meals a day and it works for me and I can stay around my goal weight. You can simply add or subtract meals per day according to what the scale is telling you at the end of the week, or how your clothes fit, or how you look in the mirror, or however you want to judge.
Ok, nuff said about all that. Again, this whole post can be summed up in just two words..

I would follow Hugh Jackman's diet if I were you. And that is, IF.
Intermittent fasting. He did that to achieve Wolverine's body. :-)
