Beer of the day #5 - Hagenbräu Germany - from my City of Birth (Deutsch / English)

Steemians - das Bier ist aus meiner Heimat - dem schönen Worms, der ältesten Stadt in Deutschland, bekannt für die Nibelungen - die Reformation und mehr! 

Das “Wormser Hagenbräu” ist ein Restaurant mit eigener Mikro Brauerei, inzwischen ein Stück der Wormser Stadtgeschichte, direkt an der Rheinpromenade gelegen, circa 2 Minuten vom Haus meiner Eltern entfernt, das heisst ich bin quasi dort aufgewachsen. Der Name kommt vom Hagen Denkmal direkt vor der Tür. Das eigene Bier ist ok und was ich toll finde, dass man Kessel und das ganze Brau Equipment sieht quasi in der Mitte des Restaurants.

Das Bier

The micro brewery is located right on the Rhine riverbank, a short walk from the Nibelungenbrücke. The brewing equipment is visible in the back as well. The brewpub has usually 4 beers on tap, including a Helles, Weizen, Dunkles and Kastanienbier (chestnut).   

They also offer seasonal beer as e.g. Maibock in May. The name comes from the Hagen monument which is located in front of the brewery. Even if you are not into Beer the City is worth a visit not only as it is the oldest City of Germany with a lot of tourism attraction older than 1,500 years. More important, this is my home town, the place I was born and raised.
