World Community Grid Update: Neue Abzeichen und 2 Millionen Punkte erreicht - New badges and 2 million points achieved

Seit einiger Zeit verwende ich meinen heimischen Computer aber auch eine Virtuellen Server bei Digital-Ocean dazu, komplizierte Rechenaufgaben in der Forschung gegen Krankheiten zu berechnen. Bei dem Projekt "World Community Grid" verdient man durch seine Aktivität an den verschiedenen Projekten Badges. Mittlerweile konnte ich nun durch meine Aktivitäten einige dieser Auszeichnungen verdienen.

Ich finde des eine coole Sache - so sieht man auch, wie schnell man vorran kommt und tut dabei auch noch was gutes. Mit den Badges kann man zwar nichts machen aber sie sind eine Art Bestätigung.

For some time now I have been using my home computer, but also a virtual server at Digital Ocean, to calculate complicated computational tasks in research against diseases. At the project "World Community Grid" you earn badges by your activity at the different projects. In the meantime, I have been able to earn some of these awards through my activities.

I think it's a cool thing - you can see how fast you can get ahead and do something good at the same time. You can't do anything with the badges, but they are a kind of confirmation.

Mittlerweile beteilige ich mich schon über 3 Monate für die Bekämpfung von Krankheiten beim World Community Grid Projekt und konnte erneut ein paar Abzeichen erlangen.

Meanwhile I have been participating in the World Community Grid project for more than 3 months and was again able to get some badges.
