Von der kleinen Stadt Ninh Binh aus, lässt sich kaum erahnen wie bezaubernd das Umland ist. Die beste Art die reizvolle Landschaft zu erkunden, ist bei einer Bootsfahrt oder per Fahrrad. In diesem Post zeige ich euch die Variante Bootsfahrt. Schnell fanden wir einen "Gondolieri", weil eine Bootstour der Touristenmagnet schlecht hin ist. Gerudert wird teils noch traditionell mit den Füssen was ziemlich entspannt aussieht, da man sich dazu etwas zurücklehnt wie in einem Liegestuhl. Die Wasserstrasse führt an Gehöfen vorbei und durch Höhlen, stets gesäumt von, vom Fluss überfluteten Reisfeldern, inmitten der spektakulären Karstlandschaft. Zu dieser Jahreszeit (Februar) wurden in mühsamer Handarbeit gerade die Jungpflanzen auf die Felder gepflanzt. Reis wurde ursprünglich dazu gezüchtet im Wasser wachsen zu können, um ihn frei von Unkraut und Schädlingen zu halten. Somit ist er ausser beim Aussetzten und bei der Ernte pflegearm.

From the small town of Ninh Binh, you can hardly imagine how enchanting the surrounding area is. The best way to explore the beautiful landscape is by boat or by bike.
