Schöne Apsaras
Was ist eine Apsara?
Apsaras sind im Hinduismus sowie teilweise in der buddhistischen Mythologie halb menschliche, halb göttliche Frauen. Sie leben dem Mythos nach im Palast des Gottes Indra. Apsaras gelten zudem als „Geister der Wolken und Gewässer". Sie ähneln deshalb den Nymphen der griechisch-römischen Mythologie.
Herkunft des Wortes Apsara: Sanskrit: अप्सराः = (die) Apsarāḥ; Pali: Accharā; Chinesisch: Feitian oder 天女, Tiānnǚ; Japanisch: Tennyo.
Um das Ganze sinnbildlich darzustellen, gibt es nachfolgend einige Eindrücke auf der Basis eigener Fotos und fremder Videos. (Die Fotos mit den Apsara-Tänzerinnen wurden unter schlechten Lichtverhältnissen erstellt. Ich bitte die Qualität zu entschuldigen.)

Ruhig und besinnlich sehen die Kampodschaner die Apsaras. Man beachte die gebogenen Finger an den Händen, die aus Trainingsübungen im Kleinkindesalter resultieren.
