#04 Design - Steemit Profile Banners (gamerpool & gpgiveaways)
First Things First
So I got asked to do a steemit profile banner for @btcvenom. One of the VP for @gsgaming & founder of @gamerpool & @gpgiveaways. I instantly took up the task cause it seems like it would be fun and easy to do. One thing I noticed about the banner is that it'll always be resized and compressed no matter the size and resolution I used. If any of you have done one that appears SHARP on your profile, please let me know what size/resolution you use to do it in the comments. Thanks!
Gamerpool Profile Banner

Part 1 - The Idea
I wanted something to match Gamerpool's new logo. Something simple and modern. So I went with the trendy flat designs with cute little console gaming vectors. I guess the idea is to not populate the entire banner but to give it some breathing space. Hate the feeling of being too cluttered.
Here is @gamerpool official logo.
Part 2 - Layout
Simple layout and pretty straight forward. Wanted the center to just shoutout gamerpool's profile details. It's like ur holding a Nintendo switch and the screen is in the center. Same concept. ; )
Part 3 - Final
So here is the final product. Adding the cute little controllers and consoles. Perfect :D

Part 1 - The Idea
Wanna give it a cinematic feel. And since @gpgiveaways gives out FREE GAMES, that's right, u hear me right. FREE GAMES. I suppose I'll just drop a few headlining games like a movie theatre on the banner. Had the black borders for composition, mainly to resemble how every movie has this black border thingy at the top and bottom. Go see if you haven't notice it.
Part 2 - Layout
Do u see what i mean now? it looks like a film reel right? :D Hahahaha, I just enjoy doing these things. But when you put them altogether, it just comes together.
Part 2 - Final
Well, for the final, I desaturated the center as to not being too exposed with colour. To not take the focus off the profile details. And every small frame has a game in itself. :) This banner looks simple but I like the idea of it.

I read on another post that the cover photo (profile banner) size is 1354 x 155px.

Thanks @adelinamua! Yeaps, I used the exact pixel size as well. Still comes out pixelated a little. I think this has more to do with the backend programming.
Oo. Could it be in the resolution? I know for digital 72dpi should be fine but maybe 150dpi would be better here? 😊
hmmm.... I can try. Thanks for the tip. I think mine is set to 300 dpi. XD
300dpi should be more than sufficient though. Maybe like you said, could be the backend programming.
