yesterday I stumbled upon this contest hosted by @inquiringtimes about designing a "welcome image" for new users.

[...] we are looking for fresh images with the word "Welcome" that are attractive and, convey what steem is about in a few words or an image, that look nice and friendly.

The Claim

My basic idea was to find out, what's really special about Steem and Steemit. After some thinking, I came to the conclusion, that it's nearly the only blockchain, that is mainly used to talk and share information.

So I was looking for an image, that reflects the fun of talking and also has a reference to the blockchain topic. The best one, I could find, was a photo called “Tetris hair” by State Farm, which is licensed under CC BY 2.0.

Tetris

Actually it wasn't the first time, I was thinking about Tetris to visualize blockchain technology in a fun way. So I was really happy to find this Tetris girls, shot at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con.

As my work is based on a CC-BY license, I also have to share the finished design under the same license. I'm not sure, if this complies with the first rule of the contest:

Design Inspiration

I guess, this is more a design study, than a finished design. But hopefully someone feels inspired and wants to build on my idea.
