The short-term, dopamine-driven feedback loops we’ve created are destroying how society works. No civil discourse, no cooperation; misinformation, mistruth. You are being programmed"

During his View From The Top talk, Chamath Palihapitiya, founder and CEO of Social Capital, discussed how money is an instrument of change which should be used to make the world a better place. “Money drives the world for better or for worse. Money is going to be made and allocated – you have a moral imperative to get it and then use it to make a difference.“
The Verge Writes "Former Facebook exec says social media is ripping apart society": Another former Facebook executive has spoken out about the harm the social network is doing to civil society around the world. Chamath Palihapitiya, who joined Facebook in 2007 and became its vice president for user growth, said he feels “tremendous guilt” about the company he helped make. “I think we have created tools that are ripping apart the social fabric of how society works,” he told an audience at Stanford Graduate School of Business, before recommending people take a “hard break” from social media.

Yesterday, I suggested if anyone was using Twitter to use the #JoinSteemit tag along with the #DeleteFacebook tag that was trending.
#DeleteFacebook has been widely used around the World and it's not finished yet.
It was simply a matter of time that something like this would come along.
People are simply fed up with Facebook and after 14 years it has simply struggled to keep pace with technological advances.
Just because something is the biggest yesterday, doesn't necessarily mean it will be the biggest tomorrow.

In light of the recent revelations surrounding Facebook, for the ones that may have missed this video I put out last June, I am sticking firmly to this prediction..!!

The message is now coming from the former staff member himself.. Chamath Palihapitiya. It's not just about downing facebook, but these are facts. People are putting to waste an enormous amount of precious time on facebook. Time that is very productive on a platform that has no way it builds a person.
I stopped using facebook a long time back.. way before I heard of steemit. I had gotten weary of the precious time I was wasting over a platform that was only messing my head with people who kept sharing about the time when they wake up, when they are having lunch, where they spent their weekends. I feel I lost an enormous amount of investment being part of that whole crap which didn't at anyone time add value to my life. It'll be easy for me to delete my facebook account which am getting on with immediately. And I call on those that are finding it hard to delete their accounts to only reflect the time they have been on facebook and try to picture anyone moment when facebook added value to their lives... Damn right, it's not their. Steemit gives every second of your time a worthwhile experience. Earning for every activity on the platform. A huge applause to steemit for being their for us when we discovered facebook is taking a wrong direction.
Chamath Palihapitiya speech so beautifully and wonderfully about this matter. Has has some guts about this campaign. Very Brave!!! FB doing the same, they are using our real information in a wrong way. They are earning by selling our personal private information to others.
We shout stop using FB stupid social media platform. Go and Delete your FB ID and spend quality precious time on steemit which is worth to spend time and earn against your spending time on steemit.
The future ahead for Facebook is dark, now we are seeing bad facts and news about it everywhere and sites like @steemit has fixed the crash of Facebook ,blog is not the issue but reward is, Facebook gives nothing and takes everything and people sure are attracted to reward and that’s how it should be ,which mean you and the website values your time and effort.Facebooks has been around for very long 14 yrs but there are no major updates and benefits brought of by it and it is still lacking in technology and keeping up the pace, those guys who made Facebook and are running it are just filling up there pocket as much as they can and suck the life and time of the stupid people while doing so, it’s bound to crash very soon. The age of Facebook is gone and now the age of steemit is bright ahead, future ahead is bright.
People needs to learn about steemit so #joinsteemit tag is must to use and to show Facebook its place #deletefacebook. @blogandreward is how it should have been always cause it’s also like working where we spend our time posting but it’s never too late and people are realizing. I used that tag on twitter and instagram and i hope everyone else does too and join the army if revolution. Thank you @stephenkendal and @promo-steem tag to have got steemit where it is now. Keep doing what you do best.
Great post..I did #joinsteemit in twitter yesterday and followed it and you to..Let's together delete facebook and join steemit.s.Yes that is true that people still uses facebook though they have great platform like steemit beacuse most are unaware or their country has banned websites like steemit..You know now days i really don't use facebook as it is waste of time and at that time i can use steemit and gain money as well as meet some amazing people like you.I think mark zukerberg is afraid that it will be loss on air if steemit get's more and more popular.Thanks for sharing it with us,.@stephenkendal
Yeah yeah, when I first heard about steemit and how one can earn , connect and change your life forever then I compare everything on Facebook to steemit
• Firstly I compare the number of years on Facebook and what I’ve achieved on there but to my greatest surprise, nothing actually. And as the name sounds “Face-book” I can say it is an album of selfies and a time waster compared to Steemit
• What the point of a social media where you can’t meet or connect with new people all around the world ... Facebook is limited to Who you know . But steemit , opportunities to meet , connect with people who could change one’s life forever and I’m a living testimony, I’m just about 2months old on Steemit and I’ve connected to so many people in my life than all the years I spent on Facebook put together
• Facebook has no investment abilities which I see as a social media for kids . Steemit has provided life investment schemes which couldn’t be compared with any social media if there’s any known yet .
In conclusion, Facebook is a child’s play and if one wants to grow up , leave Facebook for your kids and Join the community of matured thinkers, investors and all are ready to help you grow

I have been a Facebook user for 7yrs and god knows how much time and energy I spent on that shit, if i had spent that much time and effort here i would have been a million but we can’t change the past but we can be wiser in the future,it’s never too late to try, i feel like suing Facebook for the worth of my time like @steemit does cause Facebook is getting paid in insane money so why not the users who works like workers.make #joinsteem #deletefacebook tag viral cause people need to escape that prison. Chamath means slap in hindi and steemit is a slap on Facebook.
Social media is tearing apart which has sucked the society by manulating the mind of people and made society addicted to it which does even worth a penny value to used it ir has adverse effect on human life specially youth generation and it time to say #delete facebook and save your time and join @steemit.com which will pay each post of your time value and can create cryptocurrency assests.
