So, nun hatte ich also die erste Skepsis überwunden....
mir ein Grundstück in Decentraland gekauft....
und Fragen gestellt, die nur zu weiteren Fragen führten.
NUN MUSSTEN TATEN FOLGEN !
Ich musste lernen wie man in Decentraland sein eigenes Heim erstellt.
Es gab weder Windows10-Apps, noch drag-and-drop. Nach Rücksprache mit den Entwicklern war klar:
Es lief auf Programmieren hinaus !
Die Empfehlung von Decentraland (nachdem bisher nur die Idee da war und wohl einige Grundkonstruktionen der DCL-Programmierer):
Ich solle erst mal die Programmiersprache A-Frame lernen, die spätere Programmierung würde wohl so „in diese Richtung laufen“.
Nun gut, ich muss dazu sagen, dass ich noch die Commodore C64- und Atari 800XL-Generation bin und mich damals als Kind schon für die Computersprache Basic interessiert hatte

Das hatte wiederum dazu geführt, dass ich fast 35 Jahre später – nachdem ich zu geizig war horrende Summen für die Erstellung meiner Homepage zu zahlen – online-Kurse in HTML, CSS und Javascript gemacht hatte.
Diese Kurse hatten mir soviel Spass gemacht, dass ich weitertüftelte mit mySQL-Datenbanken, node.js, usw….
Also, mit dem Spruch der Decentraland-Entwickler „Schau Dir mal A-Frame an“ hatten sie bei mir offene Türen eingerannt.

There was no Windows10-App or drag-and-drop-Style. The result of the chats with the developers was:
YOU HAVE TO CODE YOURSELF !
They said: “Have a look at A-Frame. So you can get an idea of how DCL will be(more or less)”
OK …. I have to say. Though I’m not a professional programmer I always was interested in coding. It started with BASIC back in the Commodore C64- and Atari 800XL-times

And ‘bout 35 years later I didn’ t want to pay lots of money to let my own homepage be created. So I made online-lessons in HTML, CSS, Javascript …. It was so much fun I even tried mySQL, node.js and much more.
The first suggestion of the Decentraland-devs was to do an online school for A-Frame:
Ich denke man kann sich dann Meshes (3D Modelle) importieren aber muss die evtl. in einem bestimmten Format speichern. Leveldesign und Architektur in Decentraland würden mich schon interessieren also wenn du in der Hinsicht Unterstützung brauchst, könnten wir mal im Discord chatten. ;)
Die Programmierung läuft letztlich auf eine Kombination von a-frame(bzw. einer abgespeckten Variante) und importiertem gltf hinaus .... aber dazu mehr in späteren posts :-) Du machst 3D-Modelle ?
