Do you have debt you want to pay off? I have an idea for a project to start a debt elimination support posting/group, but I need to know if there is interest. Please let me know in the comments if you would like to participate in something that could help you get out of debt. It would be structured in such a way that you would not be putting up your personal details, but using percentages instead. I want people to be able to track their progress publicly and set goals and have accountability, but not be exposed in a personal way. Comment if you are interested!

English? I think you're saying you're interested in getting rid of your debt.

A good place to start is to know how much money you have and where it's going. You will probably need to track your spending for the next 30 days at least to get an idea of where you're spending your money outside of your normal monthly bills. Write down every penny you spend, for dinner out, for a Starbucks coffee, whatever. You will use this information when you put together a budget.

I'll be putting together a post talking about expenses and income and budgeting, but using percentages instead of specific amounts. This way anyone can figure their own percentages, even if they use other currencies.

Additionally, I hope to have people participating so they can share their progress with everyone while they create their own successes. This will provide a level of accountability, but using percentages provides a level of privacy too.

Thanks for commenting! I'll have the post I mentioned above ready soon and you can get busy tracking your money in the mean time. :)

Voy a agregar este enlace a todas las publicaciones futuras para cualquier persona que no hable inglés. Escribí en inglés y copié el español aquí para ti. Creo que de esta manera pueden participar personas de cualquier idioma. Todos podemos entender los números.

That is definitely a disciplined strategy and if a person plan and budget their money /bills correctly it is a really good plan.

Agreed, people can succeed if they really want to.
