The Funeral Day🙏

in #death6 years ago

It was a very intense and emotional experience for me today to attend my best friends mothers funeral in Vienna, Austria.

This picture out of many I took, expresses the mysterious mood so well.

Good Bye and RIP “Mama” Dr. Margarete Rolles 🌺. The mother of two daughters passed away at an impressive age of 98.

I know this strong woman since I am 12 years young. I also witnessed those sad days when she lost her husband way too early. Their souls are reunited again.

I captured many more photos because I plan to document such moments for the family but without publishing in public.

This little gift, an unforgettable memory will stay on the blockchain forever, to celebrate and show my respect for her life and death.

I am still a bit speechless. Usually I would reject every invitation for funerals and even weddings in the Western countries.

I prefer to attend cremation ceremonies such as the one I described in this article. You will also find out why. The influence of the magical Island of Bali on my believes of reincarnation is very strong.

Cremations feel like celebrations....Nobody seems to cry and it’s an honor to help the soul leave after the body turns to ash.

I am glad that my whole family chooses to burn......

Celebration of My Mom’s Life!

I ended my day at Mutti’s home, cuddling with my own mother for a couple of hours, thinking how lucky I am that she is still alive at age 93.

I had way too many complicated years with her but I am aware that whatever issues we have with our parents, when they are gone, we will for sure miss them.

I will never forget when she said : >Darling! At your age life just started.

🙄

Oh well.....She got a point because somehow I find myself enjoying every day “crazier” than ever, realizing that we might only have this life for now.

So, better live it in full power filled with simple joys.

Trust me! I do! 😉

Yours
Mammasitta

I remembered such a classic

Life is short.
Kiss slowly
Laugh insanely
Love truly
And forgive quickly.

Paulo Coelho

Thats my favorite writer in the world, I was going to make a post about his book, The Alchemist as part of the contest you started..

great quote

Moving my feelings! Still not sure if I want to give back to earth that way

I will BURN! That’s for sure

Neither burning nor ending buried as tree food! I consider both as honorless. Never ever!!

So! What you gonna do with your body then?

As long as I can I will fight against those cruel and brainwashed people detaining the last will of a cryonicist!

How could Leonardo da Vinci in his times ever make the practical prove we could fly, @mammasitta?

Good question!
The Balinese know how to fly! They have it written on the Lontars/ scripts but probably stolen by the Dutch @sciencevienna

I nearly overlooked this.....The ultimate celebration of EGO @sciencevienna

I don't think so, it's when you go by hoping it's you getting thawed. I don't think the you which died will be the same you. I see cryonics rather as ultimate celebration of the future as long as you consider "future" as a value and not something spiritual

Condolences on the death of your best friend's mother.
How nice to be able to live past 90.

Danke schoen! I am not sure if I would like to go on for that long 🙄

I think it would depend on how healthy you were. I can see myself not wanting to live that long if I was sickly and not able to care for myself, however if I was still independent and able to do most everything I can do now, why not live past 90? My best friend's parents are both in their 90's now, but they are starting to go down-hill. I would say this would be a good time for them to call it quits before their health gets worse. Unfortunately, it isn't always up to us to decide those things. For instance, my mother suffered for 2 years and even then, it was the hospital that decided not to give her any food nor water and actually killed her that way. Her body just did not want to give up, even though the mind was gone.

I would prefer to leave before I go downhill!
So nice to see your valuable comments again
I hope you are well!
My mother is 94 and it hurts me to see her that helpless. So sorry to hear that your had to suffer for that long!
I just can’t take nor watch pain well anymore

I imagine most people would want to go before they get to the point that they are no longer enjoying what life has to offer.

As for myself, I am still doing research on cancer and health in general. My tumor has not shrunk, but it also has not grown any bigger, so that is a good sign. My family doctor agrees with me that I can avoid surgery for now and check back with another scan every year. I truly believe that cancer is just a chronic ailment and can be prevented in many cases. We really need to stop poisoning ourselves with all the modern conveniences and fake foods.

There is a series of videos that is currently free to watch (24 hrs each episode) about cancer cures here: https://go2.thetruthaboutcancer.com/eastern-medicine/episode-2/?utm_campaign=eastern-medicine&utm_medium=email&utm_source=opt-ins-ttac&utm_content=episode-2-2-5-19-8am

Be well and stay healthy.

Oh das tut mir sehr leid! Mein Beileid!!!!.... Das Foto ist wirklich wunderschön und sehr mystisch geworden....

it is a good thing celebrating an aged mother. A friend in need is a friend indeed, you have done the best for your friend. Accept me condolences from here buddy. I will be delighted traveling to Vienna one day. Death is inevitable, it is something we have to anticipate no matter what. Since it will make us to always check ourselves to see if we are in the right state of mind.

Thank you so so much for your kind and deeply meaningful words 🙌

Thanks for sharing this experience with us. I feel the same about these things. To live into ones nineties may feel like long enough for most - it is always easier to leave a party than tidy up afterwards but that too can be done with a good spirit. 😊🌈🤗🔥

So sorry but I nearly overlooked your comment. I rather live the “good” and healthy years to the fullest before I just suffer weakness and helplessness for too long. Sometimes I worry if I would have enough loving people around who would take care of me. I am used to help myself @sallybeth23

Losing mother forever is a real grief and thank God that your mother @mammasitta and my mother are still alive, God bless them!

Sometimes pain is only known individually to us, no one feels it better than us, that's why I'll say take heart and I'm really sorry.
