The Steem blockchain runs on very little electricity
The whole Steem network is ran on very little electricity, the Steemian @picokernel , made this estimate:
21 decentralized raspberry pi consuming a total of $210 worth of electric power per year
would be sufficient to run the STEEM Network Globally, according to @picokernel and it
would still be more secure than Bitcoin or any other POW crypto-currency.
21 of these raspberry pi's can run the whole planets monetary system, in the form of Steem:
If you compare that to the electricity any other cryptocurrency use, Steem is an very efficient super blockchain, that run on almost no resources, compared to every other cryptocurrency we have seen.
