Mine or not to mine? Cloud mining contracts

in #dash7 years ago

Most of cryptocurrency users are familiar with mining but everyone can afford for himself to build a farm and mine cryptocurrencies in his or her own space. One of the options is to buy a cloud mine contract to get profits. I should acknowledge that I was sceptical about cloud mining contracts on Genesis Mining but after I checked and re-checked profitability I changed my opinion.

What cryptocurrencies Genesis Mining platform is offering to mine?
Alongside traditional Bitcoin and Litecoin mining contracts Genesis Mining also offers Ethereum, ZCash, Dash and Monero cloud contracts. I should say very clearly from the very start - I do not suggest to you to buy Bitcoin and Litecoin contracts. It is a waste of your money acquiring BTC and LTC contracts as I was unable to return my initial investment.

Let's take a closer look for any proof:

Bitcoin mining profitability

  1. Bitcoin Medium Mining Contract (Lifetime), 2.5 TH/s (350 USD):

  2. Bitcoin Large Mining Contract (Lifetime), 15 TH/s (1950 USD):2.png
  3. Bitcoin Small Mining Contract (Lifetime), 200 GH/s, (30 USD):

Ethereum mining profitability:

  3. Ethereum Small Mining Contract (12 Months), 1 MH/s, (29.99 USD):

Conclusion
As I said before, Bitcoin mining contract on Genesis Mining platform is not profitable and you can't get back your initial investment. The same applies to ZCash mining - payback period is never despite that ZCash mining has no maintenace fee. Ethereum, Dash and Monero are paying you back and those are the contracts to consider to buy. Ethereum average payback period is 312 days. Dash - 210 days and Monero - 570 days.
As you can see the most profitable contract is Dash and you can get back you initial investment in about 210 days, so you shouldn't wait a year and more and sit on profits for more a year and more than 150 days. Because of that i strongly suggest you to buy only Genesis Mining Dash cloud contracts.

I strongly reccomend you to use my promo code to get 3% discount on your Dash mining contract purchase. By doing that you can get your intial investment back even more quickly and sit only on profits. Please copy and paste this code to get 3% discount: b14fPJ

Thanks for making this! I was trying to tell people this, but I didn't have the math to back it up.

I do a weekly blog on Saturdays where I will use the first 3 or 4 genesis mining affiliate codes posted in the comments because I upgrade 3-4 times a week, and as a place where other people can help each other out.

Very good! I will check your blog.

Thank you, guys! I was trying to be as honest as I can.

thanks for the details. I was looking for analysis just like this. I am looking at the Ethereum contracts. I am assuming that your ARP is based on the price of Ethereum being constant. Have you done any analysis if the prices changes say +/- 10% ?

Yes, it was done assuming that ETH price will remain in the similar price range but if it will go to 0.07-0.11 BTC this year the profits will be great and payback period shortens.

It is a good post. I agree that some contracts of Genesis Mining are not profitable: How profitable is Bitcoin mining? (Part 2) Analysis of Genesis Mining using an idealized model.

Great post! upvoted and followed you. I test and compare all the largest cloudmining contracts in a google sheet file. I regularly update it so everyone can get the best deal for their money at any time! I also describe all the criteria you should take into account before buying a cloudmining contract.
