The Dark Ages

in #darkages7 years ago (edited)

During the Dark Ages in Europe after the Roman Empire collapsed, while everyone was living hard lives in forests, mostly illiterate there was a light in that darkness. In monasteries you had monks writing and passing down scripture. That would eventually bring about the medieval ages and the renaissance.

Now it's the same. While we are surrounded by fake news, financial collapse and a generation that have forgot how to hold a conversation face to face, in the background you have great minds and humanities smartest building mind blowing technology that will bring about a new era of freedom and prosperity for all!

The dark ages that stretched from about 450AD to 1300AD were a fascinating time.

You saw the European population decline by up to 90%. Forests grew over roman cities, roads, aqueducts and bridges fell into ruin. Civilisation went backwards and didn't recover till about 1000 years later.

People back then who were finding Roman ruins in forests all over Europe must have known that something far greater predeceased them. tesv-2013-03-29-10-25-08-31.jpg

And you don't think DNA is a signature of a civilization >100X more advanced than our own, that left a blueprint we may eventually understand.

@davebrewer Interesting way of thinking. However I don't believe that DNA is a code past down from an advanced civilization because every living thing has DNA, and I don't think that grass was once a super intellectual being, its just a evolution blueprint that holds key rules of survival for it's species. Unless you are talking on a grander scale, like the dna was a blueprint put here as an experiment to create simple life (ours) by a intellectual terrestrial being! then that's some heavy topics you get into there aswell.

This has sadly happened many times in human history, there is evidence that a comet hit the north american icecap 13,000 years ago which instantly vaporised it causing massive flooding which most likely could have wiped out an advanced civilisation.

Yes i agree regressions have likely occurred multiple times to civilizations this being one of the most recent significant one.

I totally agree. We are fooled by society sometimes and don't know what we really want. Sometimes, our instinct cant clearly give us the right way to mobe forward. And when it comes to morality, they told us what is moral and whats is noy. We should go out and make our own life and if you think it makes yku happy, i think thats the meaning of life. Even though sometimes we are influenced by medias and stuff, we gotta find more source to help us and really know what is happening.
