Daily Pet Photography: someone took his chicken to go shopping at the Emporium.

The time was around December in Bangkok a few years ago. The festive vibes and cheerful mood among the crowd either on the skytrain or along the skywalk were just overwhelming. People were busy doing their last minute shopping everywhere. Most shop windows were decorated with colourful Christmas theme. The decorating tiny lightbulbs became sparkling drops of magic and tiny star dusts. My mood was so excitable as if I was floating on air.

As I was walking towards the entrance of the Emporium shopping mall, I came across a big and beautiful Thai chicken walking calmly near the entrance. This chicken was not showing any sign of being afraid of strangers at all. Gradually, many people gathered to watch him enjoying himself. We were puzzled by this incident. How did the chicken get to the shopping mall? Was he alone, all by himself? Did he come with other chickens for some kind of promotion?

Then, I saw a man who acted like the owner of this chicken. He could communicate with this chicken. He told me that he just brought his pet chicken for a walk and to enjoy the Christmas decorations and lightings. People just could not believe what they saw and most people took photos of the chicken. I took a few photos but there were too many people there.

It was not possible to find out more about this chicken. I did not understand why the owner wanted to show off his beautiful chicken among big crowd of strangers. This chicken looked so confident and cool! I do hope that this chicken will continue to enjoy being taken out for shopping in town.
