April showers bring May flowers. Do May showers bring April Flowers? Not this year, this weather-wacked year.

Here it is, the second of May,

and still just a few violets of April finally popping up.

Green grass has finally appeared,

but brown, dried grasses and leafless trees continue to dominate the landscape.

Dead tree on the left looks like a giant with a forked stick, divining water.
