Samgyeopsal for Dinner
Though I don't live in Korea, neither I am not Korean, but still Korean foods is one of my favorite. Because it is authentic and healthy to eat. There are lots of Korean Restaurant in our place, but the original Korean established in our area is the best. We still come back after trying new Korean Restaurant. One of their menu best seller is Sampyeopsal.
Grilled pork belly is an extremely popular Korean BBQ dish. Because the cooking and eating is done at the table, it’s really social and a great party food. It’s also pretty simple to make, and because everyone pretty much helps themselves it’s easy to serve, too.
The actual meaning of the Korean word samgyeop-sal (삼겹살) is "three layer flesh", referring to striations of lean meat and fat in the pork belly, cut with the appearance of having three layers.[1][2] In Korea, the word samgyeop-sal, meaning "pork belly", often refers to samgyeop-sal-gui (grilled pork belly), in the same way that the word galbi, meaning "ribs", often refers to galbi-gui (grilled beef ribs). Gui refers to roasted, baked, or grilled dishes.
