Food Travels #4: Big Fernand Hamburgers in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Paris - France)
This week I'm in Paris for work, so I'm experimenting some pubs and restaurants around. Yesterday, I chose Big Fernand since it's famous for his hamburgers. I went there around 8PM and there were a lot of people both eating there and ordering for the take-away. However, I didn't have to wait much, since there are many clerks and they are very fast in completing the orders.
At first sight, it could seem a fast food, however the quality is a lot higher than a common McDonald or Burger King. I chose a take-away menu, since I didn't want to eat outside after travelling the whole day to get here in Paris. I took an hamburger called Le Bartolomé, with beef hamburger, raclette cheese, smoked bacon, caramelized onions and their BBQ sauce. It was delicious and much bigger than a normal McDonald burger.
In addition to the burger, inside the menu it is possible to choose among chips or a salad and a drink, which could be some coke, beer or also some special fruit juices. I chose classic chips and coke, since I lack of fantasy when really tired!
Here's also the burger menu, if you are interested. It is possible to choose among their "standard burgers" or make a custom one, choosing all the ingredients. A really nice idea from my point of view. So, if I come around again, I will probably return here.
