A quick meal before I head home.

Just a quick meal before I head home for a days work in the office to do what I love. And what is it that I love?

Kasi satu upvote because ur picture makes me hungry! And so ngam tmr i plan to drop by Cheras to try some sarawak delicacies...

Hahaha... Impeccable timing! The last time I went to KL and drop by a "Sarawak noodle" stall. I ordered a Kampua and I got a confused face in return. Top 10 awkward moment of 2017 because the guy doesn't even know the proper name of the dish he "specializes" in.

Is that dry kiao? :) @awesomianist?

Bukan bien nvk meh?

It's wantan (yun too) with lausufen (lor su fan). I don't know how to write it in Chinese im so sorry and the parenthesis is I think it's how it's called in cantonese..

oh its fine @awesomianist. I am from Kch, so i think kch people call it kiao and bien nvk for sibu people @denion. it is my all-time-favorite food which I have tried so hard to replicate it myself here in KL but still to no avail haha. So my eyes would stop to see if I spot it elsewhere! :)

Ahh... TIL, wow even a single state calls something with 3 names..

The wonder of Malaysia. oh wait.... Sarawak... hahahaha @awesomianist! :) The wonder of languages, most precisely!

Sarawak has at least 50 over languages and dialects spoken in it for such a small population, less than 5 million. That has got to be some achievement!

What mee is this? Is this local foods only sold in sarawak? never seen in klang valley area though

I think it's sold in West Malaysia too.. Try order a "Wantan Lau Su Fen" the next time you go to a kolok stall.

What is that? Looks Yummy!

It's a combination of 2 Sarawakian dishes.. Wantan (imagine an Asian Ravioli) and Lau Su Fen (literally means "mice tail flour").

It's one of the common meals here in Sarawak. Easy and cheap. And is sold almost anywhere.

Your blog has been very beautiful Your blog's recipes are so beautiful to see. If I ever get the chance I'll try to eat once.

I don't have have recipes.. Are you sure it's the right post you're reading?

wow, such a big portion....where do u have this? @awesomianist

This is in Baitulmal area. The name of the place is Popular Cafe, used to be 101 Cafe.

Wow, looks so attractive, hungry again.haha

Jemput mkn haha, sarawak so far from my hometown @awesomianist.

Boleh! datanglah ke Sarawak, tanah kenyalang!

yer, mybe at the end of this year. I have a few friend to visit in Sarawak.

You are from Sarawak? I grew up at Sibu Sarawak. Your wantan lou shu fan make me think of Sibu bien nuk. :)

yea it's "bien nvk" in foochow, definitely heard my mom said it before (she is foochow). Sibu Kam Muang has got to be the best in Sarawak.

I never been to Sarawak!
I think their food is special then we people who live in KL !

Every place has got it's specialty.. Klang for example has the tastiest Bat Kut Teh i've eaten.. it's perspective i guess. even as a sarawakian i think laksa is normal but never knew "Sarawak Laska" is such a big thing in the west!
