I have started a series of posts presenting some curious facts about our world under the #curiousfacts tag. Things you might already know or you might never thought of. It is very nice to learn something new everyday despite of it being useful or not. I collect the facts from all over the internet and books I've read. Today I got inspired by the upcoming Easter holidays and I was curious to find some facts about the chocolate Easter Bunny.
🐰As published in Guinness's World Records the largest chocolate bunny has been made in Brazil in 2017 from The Casa do Chocolate team. It took them 8 days to make a giant chocolate bunny measured 4,52 m high, 2,11 wide and 1,76 m long. The bunny weighed was 4,245.5 kg (9,359.7 lbs).
🐰According to Statistic Brain 90 million chocolate bunnies are made for Easter each year.
🐰And again Statistic Brain made a poll about which part of the Easter bunnies should be eaten first. 76% of Americans said the ears of the bunny.
🐰Searching for what is the exact origin of the famous Easter Bunny the results are a bit unclear. However it is believed that it may have come from pre-Christian Germany.
🐰The chocolate version of the Easter Bunny as Smithsonian magazine reports has existed since the 19th century when it was initially created in Germany.
🐰Chocolate bunnies were traditionally made out of solid chocolate until the 1940s, when WW II rationing necessitated the change to the now-common hollow form.

I can't eat chocolate, aggravates my anxiety. And, well dairy allergies. I don't remember the last time I ate an actual chocolate bunny. But if I had one right now, made of coconut milk and carroub, I'd bite the feet off first :p
