Hello Curie!
This is our application for the @promo-mentors community.
What is your community / contest and what is its purpose here on Steem?
We are aiming to create a decentralized education community. We have given hundred of people online workshops/ feedback sessions. Our discord channel has 1500 members. https://discord.gg/UdVkkt
Our underlying goal is: "We scout, mentor, and promote people who bring value to the Steem blockchain"
Our contest: is called the "5 Steem challenge". The idea is that we promote Steem by having people from all over the world show what they can do with 5 Steem and record this on video and spread it on social media. How much support are you seeking per month for the two-month period?
For each month we would like to have a prize pool between 100-200 Steem. And if possible steem for referral rewards. I am thinking of giving people 5 steem if they can get their friends/family to join the steem challenge. With 200 to 500 Steem we would be able to encourage invitation of 40 to 100 people.
How will this support be used?
This support will used to encourage people to join the Steem challenge. If we can encourage a big group of people this might keep snowballing.
Approximately how many users participate in your community or contest?
Right now we have 12 people who have joined and a few pending. And many more have showed their interests.
How will supporting your community or contest help grow the Steem community?
I believe I already have answered this in the previous question.

Having joined the promo-mentors team for a couple of months now I have seen how much effort and work @futurethinker puts in to promote the platform and run workshops to educate and support people.
The 5 steem challenge is a fantastic way for people get involved in promoting Steem and getting more support will definitely help us take it to another level.
I am one of the newer scouts for promo-mentors and so far am loving be able to bring new members to the community to showcase their quality work.
I can't thank @futurethinker enough for finding me and explaining how all the facets of this community; from the 5 steem challenge to the scouting to the workshops that are starting up.
Believe me, I've never heard of 5 steem challenge before, but the way you explained it just now is so amazing and the snowballing effect look more like a domino.
Am fully in support of this.
We are also planning on evangelising the gospel of Steemit on Christmas .

It is awesome to see this FT! I do think it would be extremely nice to collaborate with Curie to expand promo-mentors, let's hope something positive can result from this application ^^

As a new participant in the @promo-mentors community, I cannot speak more highly of the work that @futurethinker and team provide to help us bring as much value to the Steemit community as possible. I'm only a few days in and I've learned so much, and connected with several quality mentors and minnows alike.

I think what promo mentors is doing is a fantastic concept and a breath of fresh air. The more people that get involved the better it is going to be.
