When @curie votes on their select few they take money away from everybody else to give to those select few.
When a whale votes everybody else loses money.
If the average user knew that they get pennies because the gangs and vote bots take away from the value of the votes that they do get, do you think they would vote for more of that?
The only witness vote curie deserves is if witness downvotes were enabled.
The only thing they support is quality bootlicking. In the comments and the server - hell, I want to shout MAKE IT STOP and then I puke. The posts they support are very seldom anything but long winded shitposts too. For each curied post there are 100 better posts. A group of self appointed people with inflated senses of being artists or technical gurus or something; and a trail of even shoddier pathetic wannabies bootlicking beneath them. They and adsactly epitomise what is the worst on steemit. The bid-bots and flag warmongers are like angels in comparison.
I been saying that since they declared dissent not to be worthy of support, f'them.

Curie is a witness and pays her curators,reviewers and node managers for their work, not to talk of maintenance. Being a witness, you get paid in steempower. In what other ways would you expect curie to fund her activities if not by her earnings from her wittness work and SP earned from Curation. Hence the need for the periodic power down.
When @curie started it paid its curators by upvoting crap posts with @ned's posting key.
I dont know when it got some shame and stopped doing that, but clearly the community doesnt value its service even now, if it ever did.
Their decision to only support approved corporate speak excludes those of us with opinions.
Until they support dissent and shitposts they can kiss my a**.

You dont have to accept that fact, but your denial of the truth doesnt make it any less true.

All i got to do is look in their wallet and their policies to know that they treat folks that don't kiss their asses like second class citizens and that they have enough power to take pennies from every vote made for anybody.
