The Writers' Block Voting Trail on Steemauto

I have been using Steemauto for a while now and after an initial hiccup, which was most likely user error, all has gone swimmingly. I use it primarily with my @Muxxybot curation account to give out auto votes to delegators.

I was asked last week to consider creating a voting trail for The Writers' Block. Thanks to some generous SP delegations, the account is able to upvote quality content put out by our members - be it fiction, poetry, non fiction, or articles about the art of writing.

Those that asked about a curation trail would like to add some of their voting weight to these regular upvotes, to support fellow members. I have now set up a voting trail on Steemauto, so let me walk you through how you would go about following The Block's votes.

First, visit https://steemauto.com/ and click Login / Register on the left.

Steemauto uses SteemConnect, which keeps your keys safe. For added piece of mind, use your posting key - although SteemConnect accepts your memo and master keys too. Here I am signing in with my Muxxybot account.

Once you are logged in, click on Curation Trail on the left, type 'thewritersblock' in the Search For A Trail text box and click Search.

You will be presented with this screen. Simply click on Follow.

Once you have followed, you should click on Settings. You are presented with these options.

Dial in however much voting weight you wish to use on every upvote. The Writers' Block account rarely votes much more than five times a day. You can also change the time to wait before voting if you wish. Our voting is all manual and it is done to reward the author, not for curation. We also upvote in bulk, so we do not pay attention to the time of posting so you may want to keep the time at 0 seconds, so your vote comes soon after The Block's vote.

If you are worried that the curation trail will drain your voting power, click on Dashboard in the left hand column.

Halfway down the page you will see the Settings section. Look for Limit on voting power: and click where it indicates in order to edit the figure. Here, Muxxybot's is set at 70%.

That's it, all done! Of course, you can pause your upvotes at any time and unfollow the trail if you wish.
