Welcome to The Daily Sneak!!!

We reward quality content, AND content curators! Come for the crypto, stay for the community!

You can earn up to 5 SBD per accepted submission for guest curating The Daily Sneak. Submission requirements are published at the bottom of each edition of The Daily Sneak.

Today's guest curator is @paradigmprospect.

It has often been said that our health is the basic necessity for a fulfilled life on Earth. If our body or our mind are in an unhealthy state we get the chance to correct our course and to pay attention to what our organism is telling us about how it interacts with current life situations, and how to best tackle them. All we have to do is pay attention.

And while our society seems to be somewhat obsessed with health and all sorts of artificial ways in harm prevention, I find that the most helpful bits of advice are not flung around in the mainstream but instead in small niches on platforms like Steemit. In the spirit of inspiring new approaches to health and a self-determined life, it is @paradigmprospect's pleasure to share the work of these 5 Steemians with you all today from their unique perspective on what health is and how to start fostering it.

Recipe: How To Make Cannabis Infused Chocolate

I love sharing graphic and inviting cooking recipes in The Daily Sneak, but wow - I think we are up to a whole different level today: Cannabis-infused chocolate. YES!

As @rebeccaryan shares in this highly underrated post, there are simple ways of going about making dark chocolate with that certain plant-spirit-spin. The post includes mouthwatering pictures and the whole process as well.

A great rundown of how to do it - just please put these lovely chocolates away on the day of family dinner, or warn everyone emphatically before dessert ;)

Activated Charcoal

Activated charcoal first came my way this summer on a day where my stomach was upset and I was losing water way more than I should have, if you know what I mean ;)

A good friend of mine had some charcoal tabs with him and guess what, my digestion calmed down tremendously shortly after taking the black stuff and I could finally let my body rest without interruption.

Since I stumbled over this informative post by @kellis I am now armed with a comprehensive list of all the other benefits of activated charcoal and I figured The Daily Sneak would be the perfect place to spread the information. It really can be a lifesaver, especially on travel if your body is acting up.

Understanding the depth of your suffering

Dealing with energetic attacks by other people can be tedious, especially if we are close to them. How often in life have I been hurt by someone I love dearly, and not finding a way to express my pain without making the situation even more hazardous when I get defensive and shut off even more...

As @steemityourway has shared with us, sometimes it's not so much about giving them the emotional wave of backlash right then and there but to instead spend some time to focus it all in writing as best we can, and to then decide what to do with that letter afterwards. Often these situations can be mirrors for our own growth and utilizing such an uncovering method to get closer to our inner pains is a strategy that has often worked for me in the past. Especially when it comes to giving constructive feedback to the one that hurt me and to find out why a certain comment had enraged me so much that I felt the impulsive need to energetically hit back instead of breathing deeply and answering these questions for myself in silence before projecting blame out to others.

Natural Medicine: How I Got To Know And Trust It

Theory is theory but practice is practice. Especially in the world of "popular" approaches in medicine that are often nothing but a toxic cocktail exclusively designed to soften the symptoms of a condition instead of solving the problem at the root.

And often times, these moments are what can really propel us forward in our trust for "alternative treatments" as well as try out things on our own, where we take our own authority back over our health in the face of established mega corporations pushing all sorts of toxic "solutions" on people through their unwitting employees that still enjoy massive amounts of trust in larger society.

As we read in this recent story by @organicgardener, sometimes you have to make a choice on your own and find the right way if none of the ways presented by others seems to bring the desired result. Just beware of those traditional "pushers" always interested to spot some alternative approaches that factually work while they're officially denying that any real cure exists or will ever exist ;)

John Vallis #11: Darren Le Baron - Mushroom Missionary

I dig when people follow their heart, give up their established "careers" in order to pursue a higher calling and spread the word about plant-based organic microscopes for our inner world - psychedelics. Introducing people on the search for themselves to magic mushrooms is something that can have amazing effects for those who are ready for it.

In this intimate interview with Darren Le Baron done by @johnkvallis, we hear a lot of fascinating pieces of information about psychedelics, how they relate to our age of anxiety, and how one is usually drawn to them in this inexplicable way once they have announced themselves in people's lives. So that some become the new pioneers carrying these shamanic tools out into the world in order to offer them to the human family to heal, remember and to see.

A highly underrated video for all those dabbling with the idea of looking deeper into the psychedelic alley of life and how to go about exploring it in the face of our daily routines and past backgrounds seemingly keeping our human roles in check.

Conclusion

I always enjoy the amazing commentary and selections from @paradigmprospect. We often see things differently, but his selections are a good way for me to challenge my own assumptions and think about how I know what I know, and whether that knowledge should be given as much validity as I think it should. For submitting these excellent articles and commentary, @paradigmprospect earns 5 SBD.

Each of these highlighted articles receives full upvotes and resteems from @thedailysneak. In addition, @thedailysneak sponsors featured writers for Steem Basic Income!

Submission Requirements

On to the submission requirements for The Daily Sneak:

  1. You can choose from 2 to 5 articles for your entry. Submissions with only one selected article will be ignored.
  2. All articles chosen for curation need to have been published within the last 5 days before your entry. It may take time for me to publish your curation, and curated articles need to be within the reward window when your submission is published.
  3. You cannot submit your own post for curation. Selections from nsfw will not be accepted. We also check for plagiarism and only highlight original content.
  4. Selected posts should have less than $50 in total rewards and have not previously been curated by The Daily Sneak.
  5. We try to spread the love around, so while selections from authors that have been highlighted before are welcome, they might not be included if the author's last inclusion was recent. Similarly, if you include two articles from the same author in one submission, we will typically highlight only one of the two.
  6. Be sure to include your personal bio for me to introduce you to readers, and make sure that each selection has commentary. This can be just a few sentences about why you think the selection is worth our attention, or what is great about it - something that will make people want to click through the headline and check out the actual article. English is preferred, but other languages will be considered as long as English translation is included.
  7. Please use this web form to submit your entry. https://goo.gl/forms/VH2MGIMEgqZmd9ef1
  8. Including image links to the source article is not required (and we prefer to leave some mystery if photography is highlighted and the article has only one photo.) However, we like to include images in The Daily Sneak, and not including any image links may decrease the likelihood of your submissions being published.

If you include more than 2 articles in your submission and not all are approved for publication, your submission may still be published into an edition of The Daily Sneak, as long as at least 2 articles are approved. This could happen for several different reasons. If you are unsure why an article was cut, please review the submission guidelines again. If you are still unsure, feel free to ask politely why it was cut.

Submission Reward

A brief biography of each guest curator will be included in the edition that uses their submission. In addition, each guest curator will receive 1 SBD for each article from their submission that is highlighted in The Daily Sneak. That's up to 5 SBD for each accepted submission!

Right now @thedailysneak's upvote is not worth as much as we are paying for guest curation. Why do we pay so much for guest curation? We believe that quality curation is very important to Steem. Paying our curators well encourages them to spend more time reviewing content and picking out the best pieces!
