Sweet blossoms spill in drunken haze
Their scent of other worlds
Trembling wings arch and fold
As blushing buds unfurl
The Dragon Rose by @calluna is such a pretty piece inspired by @kristyglas's art. I love how light the poem is, very reminiscent of the graphic itself.
Feel your essence in a blade of grass
I live every moment with this heart-shaped compass
Thoughts by @staceyjean was too wonderful not to curate this week. I love the idea of the heart as a compass- such a beautiful image!
From the drain,
To the sea,
To the crane,
Who eats a bee.
The Rain by @dunstuff was written when he was young, but the content of the poem speaks to deeper ideals than you would expect from a 12 year old, and is surprising given the sing-song rhyme scheme.
The bruises slowly fade,
memories last a lifetime.
The aching subsides,
whilst in my moaning,
your name resides.
Bite Marks by @poetrybyjeremy is such a sensual piece- it creates instant emotion and connection.
