I came to Steemit not as a side job or way to work from home. I originally opened my steemit account just to have the ability to purchase Steem Power. The fact that I get rewards for my "likes" is a bonus for me. On Facebook, I did almost nothing. Here, I'm incentivized to interact a little more.

That being said, the curation rewards ARE pretty puny, and lately, I'm not finding a whole lot of valuable content that's worth upvoting. Maybe I'm not following the right people...
