Start the year 2020 supporting manual curation and following a trail of real people curating for the Spanish-speaking community.
La Colmena (the hive) is a community active on Steem since June, 2018.
Nowadays we have almost 800 followers for both our Steem account and our Discord server.

We have a daily goal of 10 upvotes at 100% of our VP, which is fulfilled every time with little exceptions. One of the reasons to give the highest possible vote is to maintain the spirit and enthusiasm in the authors of the Spanish-speaking community. This task is essential at a time when the low price of Steem has moved many users away.
Since April 2019, when we started to systematize all our processes and keep track of all our tasks in databases, we have upvoted about 800 different users. This can be checked in the list available on the La Colmena site for Statistics.
In order to cover the largest number of authors, La Colmena does not vote for a user with less than 7 days since the last support, and between the last post voted and the new one, there must be at least two more publications. This has resulted in a greater number of authors being reached and contributes to a more fair distribution of the Steem rewards pool.
The guidelines by which our curation is governed can be read in our post of La Colmena, where the most important thing is that we do not vote political or religious content, or topics directly related to the platform.
La Colmena, in its more than a year and a half of life, has served as a school for many curators, since that has been one of the objectives of this community: learn how to curate (and create quality content) while curating, in a participatory and democratic project.
Fortunately and thanks to the effort of a team that is constantly being renewed, but always active, La Colmena has become one of the most respected communities of the Steem platform and it is our goal to continue growing and providing support to the entire community.
It is for this reason that we are seeking the support of other communities, whales and personalities that want to support manual curation and content creation in Spanish. We hope to be able to obtain important delegations that allow us to make our community grow more and we offer to all those who want to follow our trail, a high quality curation, rewarding the authors who produce original and valuable content.
We currently have @curie in our trail (we're a kind of subcommunity) and the support of @c-squared that also upvotes each post supported by La Colmena.
In addition to the vote in Steem, La Colmena makes a significant contribution to each author voted in SPACO, which is the token of the Spanish-speaking community.

Comience el año 2020 apoyando la curación manual y siguiendo un trail de curación de personas reales para la comunidad de habla hispana.
La Colmena es una comunidad activa en Steem desde junio de 2018.
Hoy en día tenemos casi 800 seguidores, tanto en nuestra cuenta Steem como en nuestro servidor de Discord.
Tenemos una meta diaria de 10 votos al 100% de nuestro VP, que se cumple casi en su totalidad. Una de las razones para dar el mayor voto posible es mantener el espíritu y el entusiasmo en los autores de la comunidad de habla hispana. Esta tarea es esencial en momentos en que el bajo precio del Steem ha alejado a muchos usuarios.
Desde abril de 2019, cuando comenzamos a sistematizar todos nuestros procesos y realizar un registro de todas nuestras tareas en bases de datos, hemos votado a unos 800 usuarios diferentes. Esto se puede verificar en la lista disponible en el sitio de La Colmena para Estadísticas.
Para cubrir el mayor número de autores, La Colmena no vota por un usuario con menos de 7 días desde el último apoyo, y entre el último post votado y el nuevo, debe haber al menos dos publicaciones más. Esto ha dado lugar al apoyo un mayor número de autores y contribuye a una distribución más justa del pool de recompensas de Steem.
Los lineamientos por las cuales se rige nuestra curación se pueden leer en nuestra publicación de La Colmena, donde lo más importante es que no votamos contenido político o religioso, ni temas directamente relacionados con la plataforma.
La Colmena, en sus más de un año y medio de vida, ha servido como escuela para muchos curadores, ya que ese ha sido uno de los objetivos de esta comunidad: aprender a curar (y crear contenido de calidad) curando, en un proyecto participativo y democrático.
Afortunadamente y gracias al esfuerzo de un equipo que se renueva constantemente, pero siempre está activo, La Colmena se ha convertido en una de las comunidades más respetadas de la plataforma Steem y nuestro objetivo es seguir creciendo y brindando apoyo a toda la comunidad.
Es por esta razón que estamos buscando el apoyo de otras comunidades, ballenas y personalidades que desean apoyar la curación manual y la creación de contenido en español. Esperamos poder obtener delegaciones importantes que nos permitan hacer que nuestra comunidad crezca más y ofrecemos a todos aquellos que quieran seguir nuestro trail, una curación de alta calidad, recompensando a los autores que producen contenido original y valioso.
Actualmente contamos con @curie en nuestro trail y con el voto de @c-squared que también da su voto a cada publicación apoyada por La Colmena.
Además del voto en Steem, La Colmena hace un aporte significativo a cada autor votado en SPACO, que es la moneda de la comunidad hispanohablante.
