RE: The Steem Engine – A Curation Group, Revisited.

in #curation8 years ago

Not sure about steem engine. I found that for newbies it is best to interact with senior members in a meaningful manner (not an easy thing to do for a sustained period of time). Let them know about your impressions of their work. If they appreciate it then they would come to your blog to check it out.
The process takes time and energy but most importantly patience. My first couple of sentences in this comment were a little presumptuous so I would rather say that each one has to find the best way that suits them.

This can definitely be a good strategy. Unfortunately, it depends solely on the ability of whomever you consider to be a "senior member" to take the time to respond. That can be difficult, but it is also rewarding.

At @thesteemengine, we try to support our members with the strength of all of the parts. We've got a group account that can bring attention to posts that may otherwise not receive any, and we've got a fantastic team of members who can help new users polish their content.

We're proud of how much we've grown over the past 5 months, so if any of this interests you, I encourage you to come check us out. Let me know if you have any questions!

My suggestion might only work for me. It is not a generic advice but rather a description of pattern I follow.
I have seen your groups work and it seems really great. In fact I would have loved to join but I won't be able to interact outside of steemit. Unfortunately posting and interacting on Discord poses that problem for me.
