Buildawhale Curation Digest 09/26/18

Thank you to today’s curators: @bryangav!

-=- The world of music is wide and there are many different genres to meet the tastes of everyone: pop, rock, jazz, rap, R&B, soul, salsa and so on. @frot is a great fan of rap and he particularly likes rap music that came out before the 1990’s. He believes that since that time, the quality of rap decreased and it hasn't been as good as older songs. Recently, he read a theory about the reasons why rap nowadays is worse and he wanted to share it with. Go read it and discover the mystery that involves dark secrets of the music industry. -=-

Words of Wisdon: It’s not always about you

Author: @shortsegments
Curator: @bryangav

-=- It's important to listen and take into consideration the advice that older people give us if we want to be better, especially when it comes from someone we love. @shortsegments understands this very well and decided to explain something he was told as a teenager through a short story, so we can also take advantage of it. The story takes place in a restaurant where a teenager and his grandfather go to eat, and thanks to a situation that happened there, the teenager learns thank to his grandfather that things “are not always about you”. Check it out and apply this philosophy to your life! -=-

The Zig-Zagging journey of GROWTH!

Author: @jaynie
Curator: @bryangav

-=- The way we live our lives should depend on us for the most part, especially if we don’t have children or if the life of other people doesn’t depend on us. However, sometimes people tell us what to do and how we should do it, or they mask their orders and destructive comments with what they call their “opinions”. @jaynie has realized how often the ones around her try to decide her future, so she wrote a post where she talks about her journey of growth and how she learned to ignore people. If you are tired of the comments of people, read her post and learn how to ignore them! -=-

Logical Fallacies Part VIII

Author: @scottcbusiness
Curator: @bryangav

-=- When discussing a topic there are some things we should avoid if we want to be credible and have strong arguments. Logical fallacies, which are errors in reasoning, are part of the things you should avoid, and @scottcbusiness is making a series of posts where explains them in detail so you can stop using them or identify when someone else does. Today we want to share part 8, where he explains five different logical fallacies which are more informal and specific. Go read it to learn more! -=-
