To Another side of Mt.Namsan, a Sentiment about Descending Mountain.

It was late afternoon when I walked down Mt.Namsan. Whenever walking down from a summit, it made me think the meaning of a life. Nobody can stay at the summit for long. It is a destiny of climber regardless of the height of the mountain. I loved mountain climbing in my young ages. Once climbing was a meaning of my life. I had climbed the rocks with my jail party. I could understand his situation only with the vibration of a jail. Whenever walking down, the memory of climbing came to me. Some of my acquaintances were disappeared in the Himalaya. I don’t know why this kinds of thinking or feeling occur to me at the time of descending mountain. It seemed that I left something behind.
I felt exactly same feeling at that time when I was descending from the summit.

As walking along the road, I could see the wall. The wall was well preserved.

Walking down to the downtown. I could took a interesting scene. It was a contrast between old and new. Contrast seems not proper word in this situation. I think Balance is better in this photo

You can enjoy this fantastic scene when you walk down at 4 - 5 am at fall. True beauty what we could enjoy is not eternal. It is transient. If we could see a true beauty at any time, our heart never beat.

I took a photo the other direction. I could see the Namsan Tower. The tone of a photo was little bit yellow due to the sunset. It was not sunset yet. But sun already lost its fierce light of day in summer. Sunshine was mild. It made me feel so good.

As closing to the downtown, the shadow became thicker.
Below is close shot.

I could find the trace of the wall here and there in downtown. Time had passed a lot, the wall was working until now. It’s function was different though.
It is difficult to notice there is the wall at first glance.
It looks like a ornament or decoration

So I took a photo at different direction

The wall was functioning as an embankment.

Finally I arrived at Nam Dae Moon which is the starting and ending point of this section of the wall.

Everything in the world is turning around from here to there.

@slowwalker Intriguing put up - many thanks . Have to be terrifying to own this issue..

Contrast between"old" and "new" is absolutely amazing.

a simple, yet profound meditation today, @slowwalker.

Life is full of summit experiences, but one cannot stay on the summit for long.

Your post reminds me of the French philosopher, Albert Camus, writing about the meaning of life in his essay, The Myth of Sisyphus.

Sisyphus in the Greek legend was condemned by the gods to perform an absurd task of endlessly rolling a huge rock up a mountain. The stone couldn't stay on the summit, and would fall down. Sisyphus would have to endlessly walk down the mountain again to retrieve it.

Caumus questioned the meaning of life as I'm sure you do, @slowwalker. He focused on the part where Sisyphus walked down the mountain to return to the stone- a symbol of the burden of his existence.

Despite the apparent absurdity of his existence, Camus concluded that Sisyphus was able to reach a state of contented acceptance. In the end of the essay he writes, "all is well," and indeed, "one must imagine Sisyphus happy."

I know you are happy, @slowwalker - it's evident in your enjoyment of life. I believe you also have found a state of contented acceptance.

Tkank you as always
I ' d like to live my life as you quote from Camus.
He was my favorate authore in my college

I didn't know you loved Camus, @slowwalker. He's one of my favourite authors too

I began to think on a first pic that it's somewhere in US, then, when I read about wall I decided that it might be China, but it didn't look like the Great Wall, then I read whole post and noticed tag Korea :D I think it's a South one

Honestly I thought it was Taiwan for a moment. South Korea then, the old to the new makes it so much more interesting. Asia has a way to beam It's Magic onto you, architectural, natural and culturally.

I understand Asian culture looked similar at first glance

it's mainly the first picture that looks very similar to Taiwan. I've seen it on my Windows 10 startup picture. The fencing with the city background makes it very similar.

Beautiful scenery, great shots, looks like your having a great time :) Thanks for sharing #keepsteemin

Thank you for reading

Reading your post, I felt like I was bored for trekking in the mountains. And this is fortuitous when a person has the opportunity to love nature and feel part of it.

Human beings are also part of nature

Yes of course, but not every human being can live in harmony with nature.

That's a beginning of tragedy

Stone architecture. Buildings created for eternity. Especially the wide view at the first picture I like my friend.

Thank you so much

welcome my friend!
