RE: Hypebeasts Are Clamoring For "Jesus Shoes" Filled With Holy Water

in #culture5 years ago (edited)

@dandays says “then they should be free” when I told him to listen and read him a portion of this post about “the Jesus Christ Nike collab”. I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Also, as for the vegan “meats”, what in the heck is it anyway?! As you know we are vegan(ish) so definitely no meat of any kind (fish doesn’t count) but the hype on all of these “beyond meats” has me suspicious. We stick to an easy “all Whole Foods diet” so don’t need to worry too much about that for us personally. However, I’m not sure our government/powers that be would push something so hard without another agenda. I’d think twice before eating all of this beyond meat that clearly super trendy right now. Just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️

Howdy puravidaville! lol..I agree that the shoes should be free. But then they wouldn't be highly sought after by the Hypebeasts. ha..

As far as the Impossible Burger, it's basically a soy burger. Here's the ingredients:

Water, Soy Protein Concentrate, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Oil, Natural Flavors, 2% or less of: Potato Protein, Methylcellulose, Yeast Extract, Cultured Dextrose, Food Starch Modified, Soy Leghemoglobin, Salt, Soy Protein Isolate, Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Zinc Gluconate, Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1), Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Niacin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin B12.

Okay, a soy burger with a bunch of vitamins added. Researchers say the big companies are pushing these and similar products and that they're highly processed and totally GMO. I don't even think they allow any GMO foods in Europe.
So I completely agree with you!

Plus they get away with the “natural flavorings” caveat. So processed, it can’t be good for you. Then again, it’s become more of a struggle to find ANYTHING that isn’t processed in the U.S. Europe’s food is much cleaner, in fact that was one of the main things that impressed upon touching down here. The same Heinz ketchup has far less chemicals than the U.S. version. They are poisoning us @janton! Poisoning us (I scream). 🤡

I heard something just the other day about some privately funded company called NASA, have you heard of them? They said they sent American astronauts to the moon—“humans.” They’ll believe anything they’re told.

They’ve also told us that news is “news”… come to think of it, did they drop the man on the moon’ info via the news? 🤔

I agree, it's very frustrating because they know so many of us want cleaner, less processed foods. Yeah, what does "natural flavorings" usually mean?

🤷🏼‍♀️
