Cultural Dance Program on the Occasion of 'Ramleela' in Garhwal Hills.

Ramayana (रामायण) is an ancient Indian epic poem which narrates the struggle of the divine prince Rama to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana.
According to the legend of Ramayan, prince Ram is considered one the holiest and the most ideal person which took birth on this earth ever. He was sentenced 14 years exile to accommodate Bharat, his step brother as king of Ayodhya, which he accepted as an order of his father, being a devoted son of king Dashrath. In his exile, he was accompanied by his wife Sita and younger brother Laxmana. Demon king Ravana abducted Sita. Ram with the help of 'monkey king' Sugriva and 'monkey god' Hanuman, defeated Ravana and got back his wife.
Every year the narrative of this epic is played in many parts of India. I have a chance to watch this play which was being played on a road side of a Himalayan village. The play inaugurated with the dance of beautiful little girls who danced on a 'Pahadi' hilly song.
I made a video of their dance which was very nice. I am sharing this video with the community. I hope the community would like it.
