FaucetHub.io Closing Down Micro Wallet Facility

in #ctp5 years ago

Sorry fellow steemians to be the bearer of the following sad news: FaucetHub.io is to close it's micro wallet facility and will be rebranded into a different site going forward.

Please read carefully the following article from the site owner mexicantarget: https://faucethub.io/news/post/211

I am not a member of this site; however, I was going to join some time soon as I have a few satoshis I need to offload from Cointiply.com and that site uses FaucetHub.io as an intermediary. So, I was checking out what I'm going to have to do to join that site, when I came across that article.

Please read that article again, and perhaps a third time, then check out the comments left by concerned cryptonites. There's a growing call for action, with a variety of options being tossed about.

Perhaps now would be a great time for experienced scripters and high ranking steemians to get involved? We are facing an assault on the front line of our cryptoverse: payment processors.

Of particular note is the myriad of requests for the withdrawal limit to be removed so that FaucetHub members can claim their crypto.

Of course, the Chinese Government has a solution: each country having it's own digital currency that can be 1984'd.

Anyway, I'm just a little fish here on the Steem platform. Please do not eat the messenger!

Thanks for sharing this news about Faucethub Ian, I am not a mamber there but I thought about joining them, stay awesome.

Hi Erik, thanks for your comments. Yes, stay away until they get themselves rebranded. I've seen this before when change is forced onto site owners. Sometimes their sites fall into the too-hard bin, so do not survive the change to their business fundamentals. I suspect FaucetHub - perhaps with a heavy reliance on their micro wallet for funds? - will need to micro-size and that will cause all sorts of problems.

Thanks a lot for sharing this news and valuable info @ianballantine, it's sad that they will go away as a micro wallet for faucets, keep up your great work and stay awesome.

Thanks Erik, yes the lose of micro wallets is a continuation of the assault on crypto by taxing governments, in their quest for state control and the orwellian monitoring of their citizens.

Thanks @ianballantine, yeah let's see how this develops, stay awesome.
