Such airdrops are pretty common on the Waves platform. Some of them are even worth real money. I'm sure Avocado wasn't "the first reverse ICO". Might be an honest mistake, it's hard to keep track of everything that's going on in crypto.
Thanks for your comment @edb. I was once staking Waves and received 1 million tokens from Crypto-Bar.ru and many others. The AVO token is unique because it was fully distributed only to CryptoKitties users. It is already trading on Etherdelta and Forkdelta for ETH. I am going to hold on to mine for the time being. Definitely hard to keep up with everything in crypto. :)
