At Cryptogene, thier mission is to provide blockchain-based solutions, especially for African countries. The project targets Africa as its primary base and seeks to create better integration and development using the plethora of advantages the blockchain technology offers. We intend to bring cryptocurrency and blockchain technology mainstream on the continent.

Brief history of how Cryptogene came to being

Like every good project, Cryptogene started from nowhere and maintained a steady growth to get to where it is now. It was began as a fun Telegram Group by some young African crypto-enthusiasts who wanted to share the knowledge they found within the crypto world and also teaches one another about the effect and impact of cryptocurrency on the world at large. That was in Dec-2016. Fast-forward to less than 1year later and Cryptogene is listing its ICO and is coming out with mind blowing innovation.

Cryptogene Road Map

1 Cryptogene-Learn (DIGEST): this will bridge the gap between crypto-amateurs and the learned professionals to make transfer and application of knowledge easier in the region.

2 Cryptogene-Mart (BlockMART): this aims to solve the problems of traders by linking them to buyers and providing an easy system for money transfer.

3 Cryptogene-Ex (Havene): It will be nice to have a platform where you can exchange all the fiat currencies of African countries as well as trade cryptos.

4 Cryptogene-Talk (Spiel): A cryptocurrency based social forum for crypto-enthusiasts and other Africans to share ideas and experiences.

5 Cryptogene-Build (Silk): The aim of this is to support small and medium scale enterprises with the necessary funds for growth. Emphasis is on those of African origin.

6 The Cryptogene Token (CGT): It goes without explanation that this is the crypto-token that will be used to effectively unite all these Concepts into a single workable system that will foster Africa's growth and development.

ICO Token

There'll be a total of 50,000,000 CGT issued. Out of which 25,000,000 would be sold during the ICO phase.

The chose waves as the platform on which they would launch a crowdsale, while they implement thier smart contracts on ethereum.

The goal is to raise a maximum of $2.5 million USD and a minimum of $1 million USD. Some of the numbers may change with Waves/USD exchange rates and volatility.

Pre ICO started August 10th 2017, and lasted for 2 weeks ended 24th august. There was a 50% bonus for all pre ICO tokens.

ICO started a month after the end of the pre ICO and will last for 2 months (October - November 2017)

Token Distribution
Out of a total of 50,000,000 CGT issued,
*50% of which will be distributed to the public through an ICO
*20% will be reserved for founders and core developers
*20% will be reserved for future stakeholders
*10% reserved for marketing

The project is currently in the 2nd ICO Phase which has 4 Stages as shown below. The stages will be completed in due time by the 24th of November

Just looking at these, you realize how huge the CTG project really is. The nicest thing I noticed is that unlike most other cryptos bodering on scam, this one has a face. No! CTG has FACES actually.

On their website you will see a list of all of them with participation from both sexes. This is a plus in Africa where women are still struggling to find a footing.
