CryptoGene Is Here To Bridge Africa With The Benefits Of Cryptos
I remember a joke I read on @bharathcrypto's blog about 2 ladies discussing cryptocurrencies. Here it is:

Lolx. This joke just shows you that both ladies didn't even understand what cryptocurrency meant. The same thing applies for many Africans in the society. The level of knowledge deficiency is too high compared to other continents. Even other 3rd world regions are far ahead of us in this regard. Should Africa be left behind?
The answer to that question is "No!" obviously. However, when you ask what we are doing about it, then you begin to understand the role that this newly emerging crypto-concept coin - Cryptogene - is going to play in enhancing use and adoption of crypto in Africa.

BRIEF HISTORY
Like every good project, Cryptogene started from nowhere and maintained a steady growth to get to where it is now. It was began as a fun Telegram Group by some young African crypto-enthusiasts who wanted to share the knowledge they found with the world. That was in Dec-2016. Fast-forward to less than 1year later and Cryptogene is being listed as an ICO on waves with a bigger dream and more brain-power backing it.
NEED FOR CRYPTOGENE
1 Lack of quick information dissemination channels in Africa
2 Inadequate knowledgeable personnel in cryptocurrency world
3 High levels of Poverty, Ignorance and illiteracy
4 Societal resistance to change
5 Lack of government support (financially and otherwise) for cryptocurrency to thrive in the continent
WHAT CRYPTOGENE WILL DO
1 Online & Offline mass media information dissemination. Eg Cryptogene Ambassadorial programs etc.
2 Identification and Training of viable Personnel that will help in the mass adoption of cryptos in the near future
3 Financing important projects that are aimed towards this
HOW CRYPTOGENE WILL HELP
The multi-platform hub being proposed by Cryptogene will be able to handle all these solutions listed above via what they call Concepts. Before I proceed let me quickly point out that the names of these concepts are pretty cool. This is the only place where you hear names like Haven, Spiel, BlockMart etc. Let's go right in;
1 Cryptogene-Learn (DIGEST): this will bridge the gap between crypto-amateurs and the learned professionals to make transfer and application of knowledge easier in the region.
2 Cryptogene-Mart (BlockMART): this aims to solve the problems of traders by linking them to buyers and providing an easy system for money transfer.
3 Cryptogene-Ex (Havene): It will be nice to have a platform where you can exchange all the fiat currencies of African countries as well as trade cryptos.
4 Cryptogene-Talk (Spiel): A cryptocurrency based social forum for crypto-enthusiasts and other Africans to share ideas and experiences.
5 Cryptogene-Build (Silk): The aim of this is to support small and medium scale enterprises with the necessary funds for growth. Emphasis is on those of African origin.
6 The Cryptogene Token (CGT): It goes without explanation that this is the crypto-token that will be used to effectively unite all these Concepts into a single workable system that will foster Africa's growth and development.
THE CRYPTOGENE TEAM
Just looking at these, you realize how huge the CTG project really is. This can only be the handiworks of visionaries with many years of experience and the necessary skills for navigating it to success. The nicest thing I noticed is that unlike most other cryptos bodering on scam, this one has a face. No! CTG has FACES actually.
They are all young Africans with a positive track-record for excellence. Their portfolios look convincing and they are authenticated by having verifiable profiles on Linkedin.com. On their website you will see a list of all of them with participation from both sexes. This is a plus in Africa where women are still struggling to find a footing.
