Hi guys,
we already know the Term Proof of Works. One application of it can be the famous Bitcoin.

But today i discovered exist another type of altcoin concept. It's called Proof of Capacity. What's the concept consist of?

PROOF OF CAPACITY
Proof of capacity (also called Proof of Space) is very similar to Proof of work, but instead of using CPU or GPU, it uses memory hard function like Hard Disk.

PROOF OF CAPACITY MINING
Like POW altcoin based on POS can be mined with Hdd power.
But you need to consider this factors:

• HDD performance
• Capacity
• Network Size

So more Capacity, more disk efficiency and more network power size you have and more will be the reward.

IS IT PROFITABLE?

If you have a standard pc the answer is no, because your hdd can take low rewards.
But let me say how much can you earn from your PC:

In my Laptop PC i have 500 GB HDD and i have a Base target of 125573 (360 AVG Blocks).

As you can see on the image my rewards are 2 BURST every day using a standard 500GB HDD.

And Burst Price based on CoinMarketcap today is at: $0.006145

Probably i will earn only 0.01$ every day. As i said before it is not profitable with your home pc.
But looks the Network size, it's around 146.000 TB

Maybe someone is using a lot of HDD capacity size. But how can they make this?

Today the most Great capacity for an HDD is 12TB and it costs around 600$.
With only 12TB of capacity you can earn aroung 0.25$ every day. This is not profitable again.

Ma oggi ho scoperto che esiste un'altro concetto di tipologia altcoin. Questa metodologia si chiama Proof of Capacity. Ma in che cosa consiste esattamente?

Proof of capacity (anche chiamata Proof of Space) è molto simile al Proof of work, ma invece di utilizzare le CPU o GPU, utilizza le funzioni di memoria dette Hard come quelle usate dagli Hard Disk.

Ma devi tenere in considerazione questi fattori:

• La performance dell'HDD
• La capacità dell'HDD
• La grandezza della potenza utilizzata dalla rete

Quindi, più capacità, più efficienza e più grandezza della rete hai e più sarà possibile avere maggiori ricompense.
