Need help with EOS ICO! Ethereum pros needed!
Hello fellow Steemians. I need help! I bought into the EOS ICO using metamask in google chrome. When the 5 day phase 1 was over, I generated and registered a public key and claimed using metamask. So far, so good.
I went to transfer the EOS tokens to metamask, but had insufficient funds for the gas needed. I then chose to transfer to myetherwallet because I had an ether balance available to process the transaction. Thats when I realized I fucked up...
Now, 10 hours later or so, I do not have EOS in myetherwallet and have no EOS available in the EOS distribution app. I went into myetherwallet at attached my EOS public key to my wallet (myetherwallet), hoping the it may link the tokens to the wallet. It didn't work.
I would appreciate ANY advice you have to offer that may help me reclaim my lost EOS tokens.

You just need to add EOS as a custom token to your myetherwallet?

Once you do the above, you should be able to see your EOS tokens.
Go to the Telegram channel and ask user 'sandwich'.
What channel? Steemit? Just started using telegram lately, so Im not super familiar with how the channels work.

I mean a chat channel in the messenger app: Telegram. Telegram is similar to WhatsApp but newer and hipper (don't ask me why). I do not know the right link to the channel but you can find it if you Google, I guess.
Im just confused about what channel I am looking for. I use telegram, but you have to connect to a specific channel to chat. Do you happen to know the name of the channel? Ive been looking around and haven't found anything.
I figured it out. I had the tokens in myetherwallet. I just didn't use the proper address for the custom token. Thanks for the input!

There are detail steps in EOS Token distribution Guide.
I followed the instructions in the distribution guide. But I registered the public key with metamask and sent EOS to myetherwallet. I think, because I registered the key with metamask, that was the only wallet that could receive the tokens.
I am wondering if there is a way to link myetherwallet to the public key that will allow me to receive the coins. Im not super familiar with Ethereum contracts.
