Hi bobreedo(53)! Pyramiding (sorry for the typo) is trading on margin as in Commodities. If the price goes up and you are long you can use the profit on that trade without selling the item. If your profit is enough to purchase another same item and the price goes up the same amount as before your new profit is twice that of the first trade.
