In this first public progress report, we discuss the two most important pieces of the VOID platform:

1. Proof of Purchase (PoP) as the consensus algorithm to be implemented by VOID
2. The Wallet App which will be used to host exchanges and atomic swaps

In addition, we are excited to announce these four updates:

1. A new communication manager has been hired
2. The white paper is under development and scheduled for release soon
3. The tentative start of the public sale has been determined

1) VOID WILL BE USING PROOF OF PURCHASE (PoP), A revolutionary algorithm consensus that rewards its user

Proof of Purchase (PoP) is a new consensus algorithm in which every transaction yields rewards for both the buyer and seller. The seller receives a reward for accepting VOID tokens, and the buyer receives a cashback for their purchase. Using PoP, VOID aims to create a cryptocurrency that will encourage mass integration. By removing credit card fees and creating a green alternative to Proof of Work, VOID will become the cryptocurrency of the future.
Further, we hope that using PoP within our wallet app will also incentivize spending of major cryptocurrencies like BTC and ETH, which are currently being held as assets in the cryptomarket rather than being used as currency.

2) THE WALLET APP PLATFORM will support VOID, BTC, and ETH

The VOID Wallet App will be a crossplatform wallet that will allow buyers and sellets to meet in the marketplace to exchange VOID tokens, Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH) for commodities regularly purchased with fiat currency.
Further, fsing atomic swaps, the user will be able to immediately exchange these currencies for one another without any hassle. We aim for cooperation rather than competition. Instead of trying to replace BTC and ETH, we are trying to incentivize their usage through the VOID wallet app.
And this is only the beginning. We will later introduce new cryptocurrencies as we scale including NANO, IOTA, and others.

4) WHITEPAPER UNDER DEVELOPMENT: To be released within one week

As I stated above, I am currently writing the whitepaper and plan on publishing it within the next week. My goal is to write much more than just another technical document; rather, I aim to create a text that can be used to help inform and educate. Through the whitepaper, I will fill in very deep knowledge gaps about cryptocurrency that so far have been left untended.

5) THE UPCOMING PUBLIC SALE BEGINNING AT THE END OF APRIL 2018

The public sale was originally scheduled to begin on April 18, 2018. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to postpone the sale by a week or two.
