🗞 Coinbase Issues Statement Clarifying It Doesn't Engage in Proprietary Trading

Major U.S. crypto wallet provider and exchange service Coinbase has refuted “inaccurate” media reports that the platform engages in proprietary trading, in an official statement published Thursday, September 20.

According to Coinbase, media coverage has “inaccurately characterized” the results of the New York Virtual Markets Integrity Report, to which Coinbase had voluntarily contributed information about its practices by participating in a Virtual Markets Integrity Initiative Questionnaire.

Coinbase yesterday cited the report, with the view to “correct the record”:

“The report states: ‘Coinbase disclosed that almost twenty percent of executed volume on its platform was attributable to its own trading.’”

🗞 Drug Discovery Platform Verseon Launches Blockchain-Based Securities Exchange

US drug development company Verseon will, via its ‘Blockrules’ subsidiary, launch a blockchain platform to support the sale, launch, and trading of regulated tokenised securities on a public blockchain.

The move aims to assist other pharma players to overhaul their funding and development strategy, reports Cointelegraph.

🗞 Crypto Exchange Zaif Hacked In $60 Million, 6,000 Bitcoin Theft

Yet another Japan-based cryptocurrency exchange has been hacked, losing a 6.7 billion yen (about $60 million worth of cryptocurrency), including 5,966 bitcoins.

The licensed exchange, called Zaif, is operated by the Tech Bureau. It said on Thursday that the exchange first noticed an unusual outflow of funds on the platform around 17:00 Japan time on September 14, after which the company suspended asset deposit and withdrawal services.

🗞 Credit Card Cartels Landed With $6.2 Billion Price-Fixing Bill

Visa and Mastercard have run up the mother of all credit card bills. The monopolistic payment providers had been embroiled in a long-running lawsuit instigated by merchants protesting their excessive fees. The credit card giants have now conceded defeat and agreed to settle the price-fixing case for a whopping $6.2 billion.

🗞 Poland’s Top Bank to Launch Blockchain Platform for Document Management Within ‘Days’

Poland’s largest bank will launch a blockchain solution for its customer documents via a partnership with UK-based Coinform “in the coming days,” the parties confirmed in a press release Thursday, September 20.

Part of a drive to enhance security of customer data, PKO Bank Polski will use Coinform’s Trudatum to provide blockchain-issued paperwork to its some five million account holders.

Even with the bounce on the BTC, we are stucked between the 2 green lines, 1 support line at 0.77$ et one resistance line at 0.80$. A break of the resistance line at 0.80$ would really help us to go quickly around 1$ level. Let's hope we will try to break that line and that the support line will stay strong. This support must hold us if we don't want make new lows...
