🗞 Mastercard Patents a Method to Manage Cryptocurrency “Fractional Reserves”
Mastercard has patented a method to manage cryptocurrency “fractional reserves”. The big idea behind it seems to be that users will be able to pay with fiat on credit cards partly backed by crypto assets using a centralized system offering faster transaction conformation speeds.

🗞 These Digital Monsters Live on Ethereum, But They'll Fight on Zilliqa
Before my one and only "mon" reached level 4, I was out of ether.
Such was the end result of my first experience with Etheremon, a game inspired by Pokemon and built on the world's second-largest blockchain, ethereum. I had around $15 worth of ether to spare, so I decided to try it out, eventually arming myself with a cute, fire-themed creature called Kyari.
But I quickly ran into an issue with the blockchain game. Namely, with $15, I never got a chance to move on to more interesting gameplay: battling other users' mons, "evolving" my mon into more powerful forms, laying eggs or making trades.

🗞 Citadel CEO Says Bitcoin Is Still a ‘Head Scratcher,’ Tells Young Generation to Stay Away
Ken Griffin, the CEO and founder of the Citadel hedge fund, has reiterated his negative stance on Bitcoin (BTC) in an interview with CNBC Wednesday, July 18.
Speaking at the Delivering Alpha Conference in New York, Griffin admitted that he “still scratch[es] [his] head" about Bitcoin, claiming that the younger generation should “do something more productive than invest in digital currencies.”

🗞 How Coinmarketcap Incentivizes Exchanges to Report Fake Volume
Bitforex, a cryptocurrency exchange that scarcely scraped the top 100 by trading volume until recently, has been accused of generating false trades on a mammoth scale. Crypto Exchange Ranks, which pulls in open source data from exchange APIs, has published a report in which it accuses Bitforex of creating fake volume and Coinmarketcap (CMC) of being complicit in the scam.

🗞 New Name, New You: Parity-Ethereum V2.0
Parity has been around the client-making block a few times (since 2016 to be exact), but today's release of Parity-Ethereum v2.0 has put a fresh spring in its step. With a new name (the added "Ethereum," which is apparently to distinguish itself from Parity's other software, including Parity-Bitcoin and Parity-Pokadot) and a new purpose, Parity-Ethereum has left behind its small-time dreams for bigger and better things. The Parity-Ethereum v2.0 client will no longer function as a full-node wallet for just anyone. Instead, it's got its eyes on the big leagues: mining pools, exchanges, and infrastructure and services providers of all types.

We are currently consolidating a little after the nice up of yesterday and today. We should go touch the MMA13 and perhaps even the support line in brown. That support line should trigger a bounce and continue the UP. Let's see if that support line will do its job.
