Anyone Received Their AVINOC Airdrop Tokens Yet? 309201 Airdrops Logged! Too Many To Cover?
Probably the largest Airdrop I have seen for a new cryptocurrency service took place recently - You probably saw it and/or participated.. at Avinoc.com. The airdrop has now finished with 309201 Airdrops were logged.. Did anyone get paid yet?
Given that it is quite simple for anyone to create a bunch of social network accounts and complete the tasks that Avinoc required to participate in their airdrop, I wonder how many people just sat for days creating new accounts and logging multiple airdrops? With around $300USD worth of tokens allegedly being offered to each participant, that means that if you took 20 minutes to create the necessary new social accounts, you could be netting about $900USD per hour! Not a bad pay rate! lol
I'm not sure if they had any mechanism to prevent that, but then I'm also not sure how they are going to pay out 309201 times, perhaps, an average of $150USD per airdrop. That actually works out to more than $46 Million USD!
The AVINOC Token is listed at a USD price of $0.05 currently (Edit: The actual value of these tokens currently is around $1USD) The Avinoc website says they are creating 1 billion tokens and selling 40% of them - so that would generate $20 Million USD - not enough to cover the $46 Million that might have been needed to over the Airdrop! Ouch (Edit: I guess their initial rounds of sales of the ICO will cover this? I am not sure).
Will they be forced to sell more tokens or rejig something else? Will they just not send out the tokens to many people - exactly as occurred with the Authorship ICO/Airdrop 9 months ago?
Well, I can see a lot of transfers taking place of the token on Etherscan, so we shall find out soon!
EDIT: Just found a comment that says the airdrop might take between 3 days and 2 weeks to pay out in full.

I'm really confused.. The final listing price of the tokens shown on the avinoc website is actually $1USD, not £0.05.. But if you have 3059 tokens then that would value them at $3059..
When I look on the avinoc site it says that I have 284 tokens equalling $284.

How easy is it to make multiple accounts these days anyway? Don't you need phone numbers and stuff? One thing I noticed is the big bonus i got for having a lot of youtube and twitter followers, i think people would probably be better off getting their numbers up for these things rather than making a bunch of dummy accounts, but what do i know? Still waiting for my coins but they seem to be pretty busy sending them out so I'm not worried.
When I tried to setup multiple accounts a few years ago it was hard - they wanted phone numbers and blocked me repeatedly.. Now though, it was very simple - just create a gmail account - with no real checks, then create all the other accounts from that gmail account.. Only linked in asked for a phone number!

I'm supposed to be receiving some 420 AVINOC tokens but haven't received it yet.
I read on their T&C about the requirement of a KYC fill in but one of the guys who received the airdrop said he didn't have to fill any KYC.
Just waiting to see what happens.
I just received my tokens here, so I think you will be fine - they are just taking a few days to process all the claims. I just read that the tokens won't be listed on any exchanges until Q3 of 2018 anyway, so selling them won't be easy for a while anyway.

It seems like a promising project if it takes off. I intend to HODL those for a few years and give them a chance.
There were other tasks on the airdrop page to get more points, but I think the time has passed for doing those now. As I understand, the most you can get is $300 worth of tokens - though I may be wrong.
No no. I meant, is there anything to do to receive the token? Or will it come automatically to my ether wallet address?
All I have done is linked my social media accounts and provided them my wallet address. Is that sufficient?
You could get more. I earned $400+. It depends on the number of your followers on your social media also plus you could earn through referral links. The more the merrier. :)
Oh I see, ok. I am pretty sure it is possible to have just sat creating more and more social profiles and getting a huge number of payouts!
You only need to have given them a valid wallet address.. AFAIK
Maybe. But I didn't bother doing it that way as I figured they might have some filtration process for people gaming the system. But then who knows, if there's no KYC then anybody could've earned a lot more by doing multiple accounts.
